Sugar, yeah, sure..
How the hell is sugar supposed to smell? Was so my ulterior motive when I pulled out of the metal can the small vial. Schwupp, on it with it. And lo and behold, there is actually a nuance of sugar apart from the caramel, which does have a smell of its own. I am surprised.
But what jumps out at the nose quite hard at first is a very very dominant cardamom. If you don't like that, you'll hate this scent. Cardamom mixes here but very organically with a fine, sweetish cocoa note and is rounded off by sugar. In combination, the whole thing seems a very little bit like coffee, but it is obviously not.
There's also a familiar Kerosene smokiness hiding in the depths. Whether it's burnt caramel.... Well.
Then, with time, the composition becomes softer, less cardamom-heavy and overall almost oriental. But under gourmand flag.
Great surprises the fragrance does not offer. Compared to other representatives of the brand, it is rather of medium intensity and what for cocoa lovers I would say. For me though typical Kerosene a candidate with guilty pleasure. But not enough for the bottle. In the vial is still something, let's see if in winter my impression is different
