It opens with a very strong lemon pledge smell which is absolutely boring.

I thought it was it but fortunately lemon oil is very volatile, and that’s when the magic happens. Absolutely fennel prominent. I est a lot of raw fennel and it smells like that. Fresh, balsamic, almost anise-like / licorice.

This is very interesting and different. Would i wear it? Not sure, i might try it a second time on my neck and clothes, but i assume this is artistic perfumery so it makes sense to create weird/different aromas.

For fennel lovers

Despite its name, this is a showcase for fennel and it’s one of the best renderings of the plant in a fragrance, from the crisp and juicy bulb to the spicy bite of aniseed. There’s a splash of lemon in the opening that thankfully does not sweeten or overstay its welcome. The bitterness is present and the aromatic greenness doesn’t dissipate. A white musk develops in the drydown but overall the composition remains fresh and cool. There’s almost an aquatic feel in the wet fennel fronds. It’s herbaceous and delightful to wear in the summer heat.

Fennel Frawns & Seeds

I dig how kooky this scent is in that you’re very much getting fennel at first sniff. The lemon appears at the dry down. CC will likely *not* beckon people who enjoy fragrance simply “to smell good,” which is perfectly fine. I do think CC will intrigue people who want to re-experience things through scent. It’s hard to fault folks for not wanting to smell like fennel.

This reads more like the seeds or “frawns” growing at the top of fennel stems rather than the bulb.
CC is subtle and stays close to the skin. Like its beetroot brother, this fragrance will quickly vanish under 2 hours.

Fennel forward

This fragrance is heavy on the FENNEL. I really expected something a lot more citrusy from the name but it was super strong on the fennel/annise. I was also getting something that smelled like freesia to me. Like a creamy, aquatic floral lingering in the background. I am however enamored by the color of the juice and the bottle itself is stunning. I really couldn't see myself needing an entire bottle of this, however. I think I'd enjoy smelling this on someone other than myself. It's a bit too singular and vegetal to be getting whiffs of all day.

Fennel +

I adore this perfume. The first time I sampled it I found it intriguing but too fennel heavy, but I kept coming back to it and eventually had to buy a bottle.
It's so fresh, and yes the fennel is prominent throughout and especially in the beginning, but the drydown is such a lovely, clean and unusual musk. For me the longevity is great too, especially considering it's a light and fresh fragrance. No complaints!
