Skipped Top Note
Don't worry, even though the title suggests it, the fragrance definitely has a top note. However, one does get the feeling that the scent begins with the heart note, as the top note is very weak, flashes briefly, and then quickly gets lost among the floral notes.
But that doesn't matter, as with Narciso you get a typically beautiful scent from L’Erbolario, which, while not extraordinary, has a pleasant fragrance that fits well into spring or summer. And as Serafina hinted below, it was clear that I would also chime in with my two cents :D
The scent:
As I said, I have the feeling that the fragrance seems to start more in the heart note, as I can best smell the floral notes first. The roses are the most prominent here, followed by some initial, albeit weak, citrus and fruity notes. There is a light, hardly citrusy lemon and a bit of peach, but I can't perceive much more from the top note.
In the actual heart note, the scent becomes creamier and even more floral, giving it a slightly stuffy character, which, however, is not as bothersome (for me) as it usually is. The strong rose remains present but is soon overtaken by the namesake daffodil, which from now on becomes the main note of the floral scents.
In the base, the honey note is clearly detectable and makes the scent even sweeter, while the amber remains more in the background; the daffodil (and other floral notes) can still be smelled. Many hours later, it remains floral, but the honey seems to be the strongest then.
Longevity and sillage:
The scent lasts quite well for eight to ten hours, so you really get a lot from this fragrance.
The sillage is low; it's not completely close to the body, but you do have to get a bit closer to the lady to smell the fragrance on her.
The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and light pink. The name of the fragrance is printed on it, along with a black-and-white drawing of a daffodil. The neck and spray head are gold/bronze. Whether the spray pump is always included, I unfortunately do not know. But all in all, it's quite okay.
Narciso Sublime is a fresh, floral scent, where especially the roses and, of course, the daffodils crystallize out, and later the fragrance becomes sweeter due to the honey, but does not become heavier because of it.
Due to its low sillage, it is more suitable for oneself or as a simple daytime fragrance, as it is too weak for going out, and even though it smells nice, it doesn't come across as spectacular. But for anyone looking for a simple fragrance for spring and summer, it’s worth checking out, as it’s not too expensive (about 20 euros for 50 mL).
