Fresh and unisex green tea

I much prefer Te Verde over Bvlgari's Eau Parfumee au The Vert for my green tea cravings. This particular fragrance is more unisex, with a muskier finish on the skin.

Green tea scents have a habit of smelling too fresh and sharp to my nose, but Te Verde is somehow different. Perhaps it is the more aromatic aspect that lures me in. The green tea note is dominant, however it smells more like a brewed cup of hot tea rather than the green tea plant itself.

There are many sweet floral accords in Te Verde, like rose and jasmine which soften the scent considerably and give it a more feminine edge. These florals smell fresh and dewy, and really compliment the green tea. Spring and Summer are the most suitable seasons for Te Verde, however its rich muskiness also allows it to wear well during Autumn too.

I accidently spilt most of my sample onto my wrist, so had to make do with applying it everywhere. I was a little scared at first that I would stink myself out, however I'm pleased to say that the sillage, although moderately strong, is never overwhelming. Thankfully the longevity is good too.

I can't see how anyone could dislike this delightful and simplistic little scent. You could only hate this if the smell of tea disgusted you. Personally, I enjoyed it, and if I still had my sample, I know I would wear it again. Te Verde is a very clever composition, one that has something for everyone, whether it be a delicious green tea note, sweet florals or smooth, woodsy muskiness. I highly recommend.

A strange title again? Well, if you test the fragrance, you'll understand. Because even though this is a nice scent from L’Erbolario, it belongs to the fragrances with the least sillage from this brand.

The scent:
The fragrance starts off very citrusy with a lovely grapefruit, green tea, and I believe also verbena. After that, it gets tricky, as the sillage drops really quickly and you have to sniff closely to know, well, what exactly you are smelling.
In the heart note, the scent is still slightly citrusy and continues to smell of green tea. Just green tea with a hint of lemon. There’s also a slightly spicy note, whether that’s the basil, I can’t say for sure.
A little later, the scent becomes sweeter and you can smell a bit of moss, which makes the fragrance slightly more classic.
Even later, you can still smell the green tea, which now appears a bit spicier.

The longevity and sillage:
The longevity is two to four hours, depending on the amount sprayed. That’s rather moderate, and with the low sillage, it even feels shorter.
The scent is hardly noticeable… sure, at the beginning it’s good, even very good. But then the projection drops rapidly. It’s a pity, because the scent started off nicely… it’s very close to the skin…

The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical with a dome-shaped neck, on which sits the tall, gray-silver cap.
The bottle itself seems to be milky (I only know it from pictures). The label is yellow with the name and a little picture on it. The bottle is one of the less successful designs from L’Erbolario.

The scent itself isn’t bad; it actually starts off quite well, as it smells nice of tea and citrus fruits. But unfortunately, you won’t get much from this fragrance, as it almost disappears right after spraying.

To smell it later, you have to bring your nose close to the sprayed area.
That’s a bit tricky if you only spray it on your neck; well, there are supposed to be incredibly flexible people out there, but you know what I mean :D
So, always spray it on your arms too if you want to smell something.

It is, of course, intended for summer, but since there are a variety of refreshing scents (including those with green tea), you should look for others. Because even if the scent is relatively inexpensive here, you won’t get much from it unless you bathe in it.
