Fresh but flighty

A freshness meets my nose when I spray Eau de Lacoste. The mix of bergamot and orange is the first impression I get. Then come the flowers; jasmine and rose. A sweet/floral feeling is added. It is a nice transformation that lasts for one to two hours. Then the scent is gone - and unfortunately for me, so is the memory of it.
The nice, chubby bottle lifts the impression of the whole. It looks as innocent as the juice inside. All in all no masterpiece but a nice summer scent. Too light and volatile for my taste.

In Memory of Nadine

A light fragrance for the warmer days. Feminine but not too sexy. Playful, almost romantic without being intrusive. A scent that is half girl, half woman. Yet already... but not quite so much. My colleague Nadine wore it. It was the only fragrance she owned. 22 years old with long brown hair, almost a woman, but still much more of a girl, a student who never had money. Whenever I wear Eau de Lacoste, I have to think of her, the girlish woman who took everything lightly. I love licorice. I really like the scent and envy her a little for the carefreeness of being able to live for two more weeks with just 50 euros in her pocket.

Today I felt the urge for a fragrance visit to my perfumery again.

A feel-good place for me, as the scent enthusiasts are among themselves there.
My husband stayed at home, and my friend never rushes.
And - by happy chance - my favorite saleswoman was also present.

She expertly sprayed Eau de Lacoste on me, which turned out to be a "good choice."

Mmm, a light and refreshing cocktail of pineapple, Calabrian bergamot, and Calabrian mandarin pleasantly reached my nose.
I love Calabria and the unique scent of this region.
I am struck by wanderlust.

The saleswoman and I are both animal lovers and proudly show each other the photos of our beloved pets.

During this endless topic, jasmine and rose rise up to me - pleasantly complementing.
The sweet vanilla and creamy sandalwood create intimacy, and we lean our heads closer together.
The contours of the shop blur, and we are completely among ourselves.

The patient friend subtly reminds us of closing time, and Ms. W. and I look at the clock in surprise.
The fragrance remained friendly with us the whole time, without being intrusive or disappearing.
I like that.

This loyalty must be rewarded, and Eau de Lacoste found its way into my bag.

A pleasant scent, an enlightening conversation, travel memories - the visit was worth it.

Well, what can I say.... In the 80s I wore polo shirts with the green crocodile and 30 years later I spray some of the perfume behind my ear. ;)

No, seriously, Eau de Lacoste has developed into my all-round daytime scent, which is not too fruity and floral, yet fresh and very sensual in the base. The longevity on my skin is sensational. I sprayed it on this morning and I can still faintly smell it now.
A really beautiful, rounded, pleasant, feminine fragrance that can be worn on many occasions. For going out, it would be too mild for me; I need something else for that. ;)

~ Inspiration ~
Until now, I only knew "Touch of Pink" and "Lacoste pour Femme" from Lacoste in terms of women's perfumes. I wouldn't have necessarily tested this one if I hadn't received a sample, as the other two weren't sweet enough for me.

Flacon ~
This one is predominantly white and looks elegant. The Lacoste crocodile, of course, cannot be missing here. It has a bit of a snow globe vibe, and the subtle color choice suggests a light, feminine scent.

~ Scent ~
Upon application, I perceive it as fruity, but leaning towards the bitter-sour direction (pineapple, mandarin, and bergamot). Gradually, pineapple and orange blossom, jasmine, and rose join in, giving it a slightly floral-sweet touch. The scent is completed by sandalwood, vetiver, and a hint of vanilla (I can't imagine what Peru balsam smells like, no matter how hard I try).

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 3-4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). If you apply too much, I find it too bitter and piercing.

~ Occasion ~
This perfume can actually be worn in any season, as it is subtle and unobtrusive.

~ Conclusion ~
It reminds me a lot of "Boss Woman".
Unfortunately, it is a bit too piercing for me, so I will not repurchase it.
