Smell like a Businesswoman
I’m not really familiar with the Lacoste fragrances for female earthlings. To me, they are scents that I would describe as "nice," "suitable for leisure," or "clean scents." So a woman can wear them, but she doesn’t have to.
However, the fragrance pyramid of Lacoste Original pour Femme somehow spoke to me deep inside. What does a "solar note" smell like? Do pear and ginger go together? Or is it just another "clean scent, suitable for leisure"?
After testing the ordered sample, I can't answer all the questions I had, but I can say: WOW! I am positively surprised by this scent. Pear and ginger actually go very well together, as the fruity pear gives the spicy ginger a zesty-sweet kick in the top note. A light creamy citrus note remains throughout and blends beautifully with the jasmine. For me, the base ends in a spicy vanilla with minimal floral tones. The longevity on my skin is about 6-7 hours, and the scent trail stays close to me, which is a good thing. Mr. Stinkekater also likes the scent on me: "That’s really cool," was his comment (which means: Wow, you smell sooo good!).
As for what the solar note is supposed to represent, I’m still pondering that; however, I can say that this scent is definitely not a "leisure scent" for me. I would wear it in the office, to important client meetings, and/or to meetings with management. It exudes femininity, emphasizes a well-groomed appearance, and adds accents through its zestiness.
I actually envision Lacoste Original pour Femme on a career woman who knows exactly what she wants. If I were a CEO, I would wear it. But it should definitely be reached for in other positions as well!
