Aventus Refined (But Second Best)
This fragrance clearly draws inspiration from Aventus, echoing Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense. It offers a mature take, emphasizing black currant over pineapple, with a slightly subdued citrus and increased smokiness. The opening is notably harsh and alcohol-heavy, but the quality of ingredients shines through upon closer inspection. Expect 5-6 hours of skin longevity, with strong projection for the first two. However, the dry down loses the smoke, leaving only fruit and citrus. While a decent alternative, Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense surpasses it in smoothness, longevity, projection, and overall quality. Purchase only if the Afnan is unavailable.

This Silver Eagle is NOT a Loser!
Quite the opposite is true. It glides effortlessly over mountains and valleys, daring to enter niches where many others have been before. But none of them found the right place within.
It has a beautiful plumage, this eagle. Different from others of its kind. Such splendid lemon-yellow feathers stand out among those in deep black-blue. A band of rose-red feathers greets the earth below in a floral manner. It flies over the beach where amber can be found. It rests in tall trees, whose branches and twigs are covered with long, silver-green moss filaments. And they smell almost "inky".
It is a proud eagle, but one that does not like to show off. Fully aware of its beauty, without being vain. One that builds its nests in selected trees, without being too demanding. It does seek adventure sometimes, but none that exceed its strengths and abilities. Just right! And always alert.

An Aventus that comes across more noble than the original itself!!
This is the best version of Aventus itself!
And the scent comes across even more noble than the original, and that for CHF 24.80!
Should one even buy Creed, Layton, or other niche fragrances when Lattafa can do it better? No. If the cheap comparison scents perform better than the expensive originals, where are we then??
Moreover, Shaheen Silver smells distinctly more noble, beautifully citrusy, with very good blackcurrant, and I, who usually smell rose everywhere, can only detect it very faintly here.
The scent remains beautifully earthy fresh and masculine, contrasting lemon, blackcurrant, and oak moss. Ha! What a success!
And with very long lasting power.
Additionally, it comes in an elegant sleeve, with an equally noble bottle that does nothing wrong with its eagle and the eagle on the cap.
Why spend hundreds of francs when you can get it better and more beautifully for cheap?
And the scent is not synthetic either. A criticism often directed at Lattafa's Pride fragrances. But they really have good perfumers. It would be nice to take a look behind the scenes at Lattafa. During my next stay in the United Arab Emirates, I will announce my visit to them and report to you how things look behind the scenes at Lattafa. And I won't be fooled; I know a banking professional at HSBC who works in Zurich but grew up in the Emirates. A total opponent of Kuwait, but so at home in the Emirates that I will see more behind the scenes....

Clear DNA with variation
Ultimately, the Shaheen feels like the 200th Aventus dupe; one might roll their eyes and wave it off, but I see the Hacivat as a more refined Aventus dupe with a twist, only that it is essentially perceived as an independent fruity fragrance.
If we set aside all Aventus offshoots and even Aventus itself, Shaheen ultimately offers a well-crafted scent that wouldn’t be hyped any less...

It opens extremely strong, the citrus notes blend with the blackcurrant, which forms the fruity top note, without coming across like citrus cleaner or toilet bowl cleaner, which is already a plus.
The rose also makes an appearance in the top/heart note and transitions into the base with amber, and especially oakmoss, as well as patchouli and only a little bit of musk, which lingers pleasantly long but is not a longevity monster.

When it comes to sillage, I always find it hard to say who perceives the scent stronger or less strongly. Personally, I perceive it subtly on me with about 6 sprays for 2-3 hours; others might smell it stronger during and even after that time.

The smokiness, which is often found in dupes in the form of birch/birch tar, is absent here; instead, the Shaheen develops an earthy character through the oakmoss, which is also a nice change. However, it must be said that it does have a somewhat smoky aspect in the base, so it’s not completely absent. Time and again, something sweet flashes between the smoky earthiness, which I also really like; I suspect that’s where the rose grows.

Conclusion: Compared to CDNI Edt, Supremacy, and other representatives from the Arabic region, it differs in that the base is designed differently, allowing for more interpretations. For me, it is more earthy than smoky.
There isn’t much to say about the bottle; it looks in real life just like in the picture, it is heavy, just like the cap, which one should avoid dropping on their toe.

So, if you already have two to three dupes that lean towards Aventus, you can still find some variation with this one. I’m glad I ultimately chose the Shaheen!

Fresh Moss in the Desert
Just as the title suggests, the fresh moss is present here, which seems strange in the oriental fragrances from Lattafa.

At the same time, I must give great praise, because this moss has been very well executed here - Fresh!
Unlike other modern men’s fragrances, where the Veramoss from IFF creates a mystical, smoky moss, we have a fresh variant here.

The integration of blackcurrant and rose is well done, and the fresh moss would create a good landscape, yet I will not become a fan of it, as the heavy, oriental, bazaar-like scent profile from Lattafa again overwhelms any image of a fresh forest edge or a garden.

This is a very oakmoss/patchouli leaning Aventus. Opens with bright bergamot but quickly becomes earthy wood. Worth the blind buy!

Rose moss and bergamot woods meet mildly tart earthy currants. Underpinned by grasses and mallows. CLASS!

My best fragrance from Lataffa so far. Lasts super long and smells absolutely fantastic. Of course, you have to like the Aventus DNA.

It's reminiscent of Armaf Club de Nuit
Just a bit more elegant... in terms of the bottle and the scent!
A clear recommendation for the price.

A well-made Av. offshoot with less smoke, instead more amber and oak moss. I really like it, especially because of the rose.

Nice decor for the bathroom, if you want to showcase a slightly more opulent style. The contents are even usable.

Best Aventus clone I've smelled since the old batches of l'aventure! Highly recommended for just around €30, better than the beloved cdnim!

Another new Aventus brother. Other fragrances do this better for me. We really didn't need another scent like this.
