Freshly brewed Turkish coffee with Dried Bergamot Rinds.
Discrete and indiscrete at the same time, simultaneously sweet and bitter, Ma`ani is my first foray into the world of Arabic perfumery and I declare myself impressed. Cheap as chips, beast longevity and projection, the latter to the point where I have shy, Japanese salarymen throwing second looks in my direction. At first I was afraid that I was bothering commuters on crowded rush hour trains, but after a woman whispered quietly "Subarashii! Ii nioi! Nandesuka?" I was reassured.
Ma`ani notes are:
Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Pine, Verbina, Martipan.
Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Almonds, Coffee, Walnut, Jasmine.
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Heliotrope, Tonka Beans.
It`s so well blended that you get a symphony of all these notes living in perfect harmony in the overture of an unmistakable Oriental perfume. A masterpiece. Hats off to the perfumer, whoever he or she might be.
