cozy rose dessert
This is my first Lattafa and it Highly exceeded my expectations!
Off the bat, it might not be for everyone. It opens very strong, powdery rose. I love that though. It's light (not light as in weak, but in the way that its not a "deep" or "heavy" scent) and fluffy. The best way I can describe it is "baby powder pink" smelling. I don't think it actually smells like baby powder but it does have that vibe (and people I know have said that it does smell like straight up baby powder.) This opening is something I love, but like I said it might not be everyone's cup of tea. It reminds me of a vintage, rose scented cosmetic powder with a touch of sweetness.
The DRYDOWN is straight up heavenly. The powdery-ness doesn't go away, but it does mellow out significantly as it sweetens up. Then it becomes this... sweet, rose-milky dessert scent. Not quite gourmand but very close. It's like a rose-y dessert dusted with powdered sugar with a hint of nutty milky/creamy sweetness. A very light and refined dessert rather than a bakery gourmand. For me, it's addicting.
The performance is bonkers. I sprayed this once on the back of my neck and I was still smelling it OVER 24 hours later every time I moved or turned my head. It lasts even longer on clothes. So due to the possible controversial scent profile and how freaking strong it is, I would not recommend blind buying it, because if you hate it you will never get rid of it. BUT if you like those vintage powdery vibes and you enjoy this profile I would absolutely recommend sampling it, it's performance is well over worth the price! I'm getting a full bottle as soon as I can.
