An Aromatic Breeze
First of all, my bottle is square and elongated with a dark orange glass, like the Loewe Solo. So not like depicted here on Parfumo.
The scent Solo Mercurio opens quite spicy, slightly fresh with a decent splash of orange-colored, citrus-like synthetic notes. Mandarin and orange blossom accompanied by various spices.
There's quite a lot happening at the beginning, which might not appeal to everyone.
Then a spicy-herbaceous lavender note comes in, which I wouldn't describe as clean and pure, as one is more accustomed to with lavender. The spiciness remains throughout the entire progression, with cardamom setting the tone, while the ambered geranium presents a playfully sweet-floral image. The listed licorice can also be detected, in my perception. Somehow also sticky.
In the drydown, slightly sweet and woody nuances come into play - honey and tobacco provide a nice presence. Here I find the scent truly most pleasant, as the top and heart notes are somewhat overloaded.
Sillage is quite strong at the beginning but then fades relatively quickly. Longevity is average, not outstanding but also not bad.
The scent development is not spectacular and rather linear until the drydown, which then transitions into a woody-sweet profile, leaving the spiciness behind.
In my opinion, a somewhat playful men's fragrance for leisure activities. Its aromatic-spicy character fits perfectly into spring, as well as into the orange autumn and the golden late summer days.
