Can you get a better name ?
This is my favourite lemon note. Not too scrachy, not too bitter, not too sweet, not boringly fresh. It has the perfect balance of bit sweet, bit fresh, bit citrusy and creamy. I guess that tea vibe combined with maté are playing a major role in here, giving this fragrance such a zen/calming effect. Melody to the nose. Very calming, citrusy and refreshing vibe. And yes, you can tell you are really surrounded by some lemon trees, you can smell the freshness, the juicyness and the green&aromatic sensation.
At first, I was really dissapointed by the performance but after few additional wearings somehow I started to feel it more around me.
7-8 hours with a decent projection for a freshie. But the smell is heavenly.
Hands down one of the best quality citrusy fragrances and for my taste, most favourite lemon note done to perfection. Prices are high most of the times but hunt them ! Follow anything that you love often and you will find lower prices at times.
Versatility is endless. Being on the more innofensive side, you won't bother anyone with this but it also won't project beastly. Even so, when someone will come closer to your bubble and will smell this, the compliments should easily come.
If they won't come, people will for sure think that you are smelling great because you are not wearing some cheap synthetic mess.
If you are a citrusy lover and a fresh lemony vibe won't bother your nose, you might love it as well.
Simply gorgeous !

Overall : 8/10

A Lemony pledge...to Spring
I like fresh citrus scents in the sun, and on some overcast dreary days in too. Unfortunately most citrus scents sit kind of flat on my skin and have a fleeting stay before floating away like a flaky hipster at a gallery opening. This though seemed to stick around for a bit longer and has a deeper earthier aspect to it - possibly to represent the soil around the aforementioned tree in the name. It does make you think of lemon trees and the such, but after a while of sitting there you realise that not much is happening and not much else will, it is a road trip to no where in particular of any great significance but still a pleasurable drive out nonetheless.

Its okay. I don't think I'd spend that much on a full bottle of this though.

6.7/10.

A familiar scent of working as an underpaid hired cleaner at someone's private Mediterranean villa
Maybe someday I'll learn to curb my expectations and that'll help me give Replicas more grace; but today I went through five stages of grief and a shower, and yet I'm still kinda pissed at this one.

First and foremost – it's synthetic. Then citrusy, then green. It is fresh in the same way air fresheners and cleaning products are. There's a lovely hay-like warmth deep inside of it, but it's buried under layers and layers of industrial lemon-flavored cleaning solutions. Then again, I guess nobody specified what exactly the wearer is supposed to be doing under those lemon trees. Maybe I'm meant to longingly stare at them through the giant two-story windows I was hired to clean?

It projects a bit less than an arm's length away for the first hour, then settles on skin. It does become softer with time, making the hay-like tea notes more noticeable, but lemon stays at the forefront until the very end, overpowering everything else.

As it dries down to the base after ~2 hours, the chalky creaminess of the musk somehow makes the lemon on top smell even more cleaning solution-like. It also makes me irrationally angry for some reason. It's not good, but I've smelled things that were objectively worse without getting such a visceral reaction. I wonder what's up with that.

I decide that maybe it's a "me" problem, so I test the same perfume on my partner's skin later. On him it's somewhat sweeter and lasts barely an hour longer, but otherwise it's the same synthetic lemon tile cleaner again. Ah well.

I'm glad I managed to buy a Discovery Set. It still cost me a pretty penny (especially for this kind of quality), but it would hurt way more if I had to give away full miniatures. So I'll find solace in that.

Herbal green tea steeped in citruses and roses
Searching for a fresh green tea scent that lasts, I stumbled upon this one from Maison Margiela. I was already interested in this house and had already bought the discovery set. Didn’t realize this perfume was in the set, which is why I ended up with a decant and a full bottle in my collection. Oh well!

When I first sprayed it, the first words that came to my mind were: refined and sophisticated. I'm immediately met with this amazing green tea note that features a fresh spicy kick (probably due to the lovely blend of petitgrain, cardamom, mate and coriander). It's such a beautiful green, elevated scent! It's probably what I wanted Elizabeth Arden's interpretation to be like: a nice dose of fresh and green accords, with a well-blended dose of spices. There is a faint citrus undertone which adds to the freshness of this perfume, reminiscent of spring and warmer days to come. After about 30 minutes, there's a musky, slightly powdery, rose scent that seems to mingle with the green tea composition although there aren't any rose notes. With my limited botanical knowledge, I’m guessing it’s the cistus flower that is coming through. The drydown is a lovely woody and musky rose scent with a background of green tea.

Overall, it's truly lovely fragrance if you want a sophisticated green tea scent with a hint of spices and roses. I would've loved if the green tea aspect had lingered longer and been a little bit stronger, but the rose and musk are well-blended. It's a scent best worn in spring and summer for a refreshing and uplifting moment. I'm not sure the name of the fragrance represents the scent well, nevertheless I do see myself wearing it under the gentle breeze of fragrant branches of a citrus grove.

Discovery set favourite
After sampling ten Replica scents from the discovery set, this is the one I went out and bought a bottle of. I needed something for everyday wear and this is perfect, the initial fresh lime is such a little refreshing pleasure in the morning and it dries down to a clean and subtle scent that's very appropriate for work. There are plenty of reviews saying it doesn't last long, but I've gotten compliments 8 hours after a moderate application, so I think sometimes people are just not able to smell it on themselves even if others can

Soft citrusy scent that smells like lemons right off the tree: more green and aromatic than sharp or sweet. Clean, simple, effective.

Unfortunately nauseatingly citrus-y, and super synthetic. I wanted to scrub it off after about an hour or so. Genuinely makes me feel ill.

Purely disappointing for the price. It’s just boring. Possibly one of the most boring citrus I’ve encountered. Cannot really smell the note change.

Pledge wood cleaner an hour after you’ve polished the furniture. Would be great as a candle or reed diffuser.

Expected the lemon, didn't expect the spice—but that was a pleasant surprise. Lives up to the name, lasts 5-6 hours.

Herbal green tea blended with a lovely selection of spices, citrus and cistus (smells like roses to me). Perfect for warm weather to come.

Good citrus profile, but nothing revolutionary. Weak performance.
Not worth the retail price.

Starts out juicy and tart like any citrus perfume. Transforms into Lysol, sweet herbs and lemon. Then comforting musk. Doesn’t last 15 mins.

Green, dewy, stemmy lemon. I think it's the tea that lends a watery character. Pretty good if you like lemon.

Nondescript slightly green and woody lemon, eventually made me feel nauseated.
