It's all about... LEMONS!

The name is true: Mancera Lemon Line is basically all about lemons.

The opening notes are very very natural lemons with a little sweetness. The fragrance remains like this for a good amount of time.

Also there's a floral note that joins the composition in about 1 hour. The drydown has some musk and amber.

The whole composition is very well balanced - i would say Lemon Line smells like Allure Sport Cologne mixed with Allure Edition Blanche: it takes the best parts of each fragrances.

Sillage, lasting power and projection are very good to a citrus-based fragrance. Lasts about 8/10 hours in my skin.

Probably Lemon Line will become my #1 for summertime.

beautiful hesperides

I have tested this a couple of times. This is great for lovers of fresh citric perfumes, others will not be moved. I love the composition and wished it had more projection and silage since it is an edp and for that price. I didn't impress me to actually purchase a bottle. There you go, I said it! ;-)

Wow what a blast of old school English Lemon Sherbet in the beginning. Then settles into a very long lasting summer fragrance. Has a bit of Neroli Portofino vibe about it. This is definitely worth the price and is lovely worn on a summers day.

Lemon Line

This was one of the first Mancera fragrances I tried, besides Cedrat Boise, which I loved. Citrus fragrances usually remind me of something light and airy from Hermes or Atelier Cologne, but Lemon Line feels completely different because the lemon note is very concentrated and dense. It projects really well because of its potent base.

I feel hesitant to wear this during the summer, so I usually reach for Pomelo Paradis. Lemon Line feels more appropriate for the fall or winter. Sillage isn't massive, but I still feel a bit self-conscious when I wear it.

Some people have mentioned that Lemon Line smells like cleaning product or dishwasher liquid. While the scent is pleasant, it can be a bit synthetic and lemony for me to use it as a fragrance. I think I need something to round off the citrus, as this can become a citrus lemon bomb with a bit of sweetness.

I prefer Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche for some depth and roundness or an offering from Atelier Cologne, but this is a matter of personal preference. If I had to choose from Mancera, I would just go with Cedrat Boise since I favour its fruitiness and mellow sweetness. The sweetness of Lemon Line feels like candy.

Update: After smelling Aoud Lemon Mint, I would much prefer Lemon Line for its natural scent. Aoud Lemon Mint makes Lemon Line smell exclusive. However, I cannot stand the synthetic harshness of Aoud Lemon Mint.

As beautiful as the Chanel can only be on someone else...

This morning I considered using this comment to erect a kind of monument to a person (hereinafter referred to as S.), but whatever I would write, it would exceed the limits and could not even come close to expressing what I want to convey or truly honor as a monument. As much as I love nature, I would rather have to build a skyscraper in a nature reserve. And do it lovingly as well.
Just this much can be said: Shine on you crazy Diamond!

S. used One Million. Apparently not because he particularly liked it, but because it was the best-selling Douglas fragrance at the time, and he probably assumed he was getting a tried-and-true product that was widely well-received. Of course, I couldn't watch that for long. A unique person like him would have deserved a rather unique fragrance, but to meet his demands for a certain uniformity, I sprayed S. with Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche during a joint trip to the city center. S. was stunningly handsome, young, and had a gaze that could melt icebergs. Moreover, he had a rather deceptive outer appearance of delicacy and almost politeness, to which the Chanel could have matched in my opinion.
While the Chanel presented itself to me as a beautiful and noble, but also somewhat overly proper and boring citrus scent, it developed an incredible sexiness on him. Buttery soft, fluffy lemon biscuit.

Mancera's Lemon Line does on my skin what the Chanel only achieved with S. It remains a somewhat linear and not particularly exciting scent. But it also develops into this delicious, fluffy lemon biscuit on me.

I often find citrus scents a bit boring. But Lemon Line has something gourmand without being really sweet. It simply smells good enough to eat.

The projection is only very briefly extensive; soon after spraying, Lemon Line develops close to the skin. Yet despite a lot of cycling, etc., I still perceive it intensely after almost 6 hours on my skin. I actually find that ideal because close to the skin, lemon biscuit might have even more magic than within a 10m radius. Unfortunately, a certain sour dustiness comes into play in the base, which takes away the magic from the beautiful opening.

It is difficult for me to evaluate Lemon Line completely objectively because it is simply associated with memories. That gives it 10 points. The weakness of the Manceras seems to me to be the base so far, as it often lacks the final touch for my nose. Because in the end, the beauty fades more and more, I deduct one point, although it fits the untold story of S.

Just a creamy and sour lemon to my nose. I don't like to smell like sour lemonade. Maybe if you like this then go for it.

Zingy, almost candied lemon-lime with a fresh tinge of lavender and white florals. Like a glass of soda garnished with citrus and flowers.
