Ombre Pistache
Sometimes the name of a fragrance simply does not match what the nose experiences. Here the name suggests Tonka, but for me, something else is clearly in focus: pistachio.
And not marzipan pistachio, not an almondy illusion. Here I truly smell a real, roasted, gourmand pistachio. Warm, slightly salty, creamy, and incredibly delicious. Just like freshly roasted pistachios smell when you open them.
This pistachio is accompanied by several beautiful notes. Especially the Thai oud gives the fragrance character. It brings a woody depth, slightly smoky, subtly sweet, and very elegant. It ensures that the scent remains not only gourmand but also gains a dark, refined side.
The tonka bean enhances the sweet warmth and makes everything softer and rounder. It brings a dark, almost velvety sweetness. In the base, vanilla and benzoin provide a solid, creamy foundation. This makes the fragrance cozy, sensual, and very gourmand.
For me, this is so far the best and most delicious pistachio scent I have ever smelled.
Longevity and sillage are also really good, and the fragrance remains present for a long time.
Honestly: I would even wish for an even more intense version. Even more pistachio, even more depth.
A fragrance for everyone who loves real pistachio. Not marzipan. Not almond. But pistachio. Just as it should be.
