Secret and exclusive!
The pyramid is a secret.
The sale takes place exclusively in a small but fine perfumery on Ku-Damm in Berlin.
This week, I accompanied two other perfumes there. The two saleswomen who served us were nice and attentive (but apparently the experiences with the staff there have not always been positive in the past...). For fans of Roja, Amouage, and of course M. Micallef, this little shop is definitely worth recommending!
And two fragrances were exclusively designed by M. Micallef for this perfumery: “Dentelles” and “Dentelles Nuit”.
My spontaneous comment on “Dentelles Nuit” (on the test strip): “it smells a bit like wine! Almost a little sparkling...”
When I later tested the received samples on my skin, my initial impression was confirmed. Perhaps a bit like Moscato d’Asti, which is mainly known as sweet and easy-drinking Asti spumante. The initially floral-fruity impression then shifts more and more to pure fruit on me. The sweetness also increases, but remains mild and natural. Perhaps there is light plum or mirabelle included? Or even osmanthus - the flower can sometimes seem rather fruity as well. But these are just speculations; it will ultimately remain a secret which notes are truly contained here!
A beautiful but rather delicate and fragile scent - just like lace! The same applies to its sister “Dentelles”, which is purely floral, without (for me recognizable) fruity notes.
I can best imagine “Dentelles Nuit” in late summer, at a rather serious occasion or even in the office, despite the initial “wine note”. Because I do not consider this perfume to be a fruity-sweet casual scent; it is too refined and subtle for that, and definitely too discreet and close to the body for a party fragrance.
