Groovy
Well goodness gracious I have been looking for the right amount of sweet with the right amount of patchouli in a fragrance for sometime now. This is perfect for me-I couldn't be more happy with it. I walked into my youngest daughter room (she is 22) with her dead head friends and they were like "WOW whatever you are wearing is so bitchin" youngsters I was waiting for "groovy" lol oh well if some twenty something's like and this fifty something likes it, it can't be half bad!!

A Patchouli Scent For Folks That Dislike Patchouli As The Primary Note...
I generally dislike patchouli dominant scents, so I blind bought this one with a great fear it was not going to work for me. I should not have feared anything, as I like Patchouli from Micallef quite a lot. It is not a straight-up patchouli scent as the name might make one suspect. Instead the patchouli is accompanied by woody notes (cedar, I suspect) and earthy vetiver. They add some "dirtiness" to the patchouli to make it much more tolerable. Patchouli is only slight sweet (thankfully), and projects like crazy with above average longevity. Bottom line is Patchouli by Micallef succeeds in being a unisex patchouli scent that can be enjoyed even by those that do not care for the primary note as a general rule. This 3.5 stars out of 5 juice is very good stuff, and recommended.

Dry honey
This is the workroom of the beloved grandfather. You sit down in an edge and just watch him working. Kindness is the strongest point of PATCHOULI.

Soothing, auburn evening scent – it feels sweeter than other patchouli perfumes, there is a surprisingly dry honey-like note, that rules the whole tone. Maybe leather, maybe other base notes wrap the skin in this calm mood.
I would not say, that I detected violet leaf or patchouli note itself, I would not even categorize PATCHOULI as earthy type. This perfume radiates kindness, it is a real everything-is-all-right fragrance for me.

- Gender: both
(means: I would be glad, if I could snitt if on a gentleman, and would be envy, if I would detect it on a woman)
- Sillage: good
(means: I do not care, I will always sniff my skind and search for the shreds in the air)
- Longevity: average
(means: I am longing for more and more and more)

Very successful!
To get one thing straight: I love patchouli as an ingredient! Therefore, it's hard for me to go wrong with a fragrance where this note dominates. As long as patchouli is in charge, I'm already quite happy. But of course, there are huge differences among fragrances of this kind, and there can be worlds apart.
Patchouli by Micallef belongs, as expected, to the absolutely high-end category. The couple truly creates their perfumes with love and passion. You can tell.
Patchouli is powerful. At the same time, it is also fine and very nuanced. In my eyes, this is quite a dry patchouli scent. Quite unadulterated. I perceive it as very puristic. It is basically exactly what it says on the label. Definitely, patchouli dominates. And exquisitely and wonderfully so. The wonderful companions that particularly appear in the base, like leather or balsams, or even the sweet vanilla, frame the patchouli. Without ever stealing the show from it. They make it shine and let it be the star. And that it is. A true star. So deep and spicy, mysterious and dark. I have never found patchouli to be hippie-like, but always one of the noblest raw materials in the perfume industry. Micallef has clearly demonstrated this again with this fragrance.

I've Arrived
With this fragrance, my first thought was of course: hippie, flower child...
I can't really say why I was looking for patchouli. It was like an inspiration. I was searching for natural perfumes and then ended up with niche fragrances, patchouli.
First, I read how the artist describes it herself and then the testers. Well, a comment then made me order a sample.
Unpacked, I cautiously smelled it - hmh, yes, patchouli. My heart started to beat a little faster; I freed my arm crease and applied it for the first time. Then came a setback - one component pricked my nose - but somehow it also felt empty - I didn't know how else to express it. But then with body heat - and after a few more minutes, a softness developed, insane!! So gentle yet rich, no emptiness anymore. Soft, sweet - a slight heaviness - it wrapped me in a cozy warmth. I was more than satisfied, "head over heels" describes it perfectly. The first fragrance that became one with me...
Then the test with my girls at the office. I was already nervous, because one girl is just like me, very sensitive to smells. As soon as I took off my coat and my body warmed up, my colleague already lifted her nose in my direction: "Did you put on a perfume?! It smells sooo good! What is it?"
Since then, I have to be on guard, because the girls find it more than delicious on me :-). They think it suits me as if it were made for me.

Light brown, soft patchouli. Smells a bit like rubbing patchouli on the coat of a vanilla-loving pony.

An incredibly soft and cozy patchouli. More like brandy bean on suede glove than cellar must. Well done!

a soft, elegant, and harmonious patchouli scent, not a one-dimensional bomb: pleasing, gentle, noble, warm, sensual, alluring, long-lasting.

Soft + cozy patch for beginners. No hippie, no mustiness. Bright, balsamic, with a light sweetness. A hint of violet. Office-friendly.
