Definition of "just fine"

After having owned two bottles (first one sold, got a second one and ended up selling too) I can say that this one is nice. No more, no less. It is a safe, almost shower gel (but not in the blue fragrance way) like smell, pleasant and crowd pleasing. My main gripe is the poor projection. Longevity wise for a freshie it's actually not that bad. 6-8 hours is what I usually got. Problem is the projection and sillage are non existent. It automatically turns into a skin scent once applied and it stays there for the whole journey. What's the point of a mass appealing fragrance that only you can smell? Haha. I don't know, in the situations where I would see myself wearing this I would much rather wear other things. If it wasn't so overpriced it would probably be a good addition, but even at a deal where I got it for $120, I don't see the point in keeping this one. Might as well get a designer for half that price and will probably get better projection anyways.

Evolves a little, but overall just meh...

Relevant disclaimer that these are initial impressions on an indoors test.

The opening is very bright and uplifting, with quite a bit of sweetness from the ginger. At first it reminds me of something like Ex Nihilo's The Hedonist. After that the citruses show and the DNA begins to resemble Roja's Elysium (the PC version), albeit with the ginger adding a certain sweetness that isn't there with the Roja. But where this scent falls flat is the drydown where you are getting plain white florals with very little to go with it, more comparable to the house DNA of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I did get more of the opening experience when spraying clothes, but on-skin, the white florals dominate the wearing experience.

The scent is a like, but I think this could be a love for the summer and maybe spring. Also works for the office. I'd say leans (but not outright) masculine, initial performance impressions are meh - expecting longevity of around 7-8 hours with moderate sillage for most of the scent's lifetime. But I will say that if this goes on promotion, the €245 for 100ml retail can be winded down €160-185 where it would trade in-line with scents like Gentle Fluidity Silver. I'll give the value a 7/10.

Its aight I guess

Yea not a huge fan of this one. Its pretty sour and reminds me of Chanel Allure or CK one with that weird sandalwood opening. It does get better as it dries and becomes more of that sporty fizzy blue kinda smell. Unfortunately by then its a skin scent and its almost gone due to its poor performance

Better off getting Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme if you want a minty sport fresh fragrance

Did GN Tonic get reformulated? Cuz if so this isn't worth the hype at all

A beautiful fragrance from M.Micallef

This opens up a bright, refreshing and uplifting type of scent. You get a sparkling lime mixed with the ginger giving you that freshness along with the spiciness. Making this to die for.

On the drydown you get a lovely Vetiver, some nutmeg and musk. This is my first fragrance from the house M.Micallef and they did an amazing job with this fragrance by capturing the Gin and Tonic vibe.

You get that vibe of being at a bar with a crowd of people enjoying a cocktail in a laid-back type environment. Great fragrance from the house.

sitting down to get a drink on a hot summer day

the title of this review is exaclty what this reminds me of. its a perfect scent for a nice summer or spring day, going out with friends or family to get some drinks. this smells like a real life gin tonic. this is some green aromatic woody magic, but also has this nice undertone which makes it quite unique. the gin part doesn't last long but that doesn't matter. at the start you also get a nice citrus and lime that just add to the fresh gin and tonic vibe. for me this is a 9/10 and definetly would recommend!
