Blind Purchase
I auctioned for this perfume without knowing what it was. The seller did the same in front of me, hoping it was "Watch." Since it was too strong for her, I bought it hoping there was a lot of patchouli in it.
Unfortunately, we were both mistaken, and so I started testing it today after receiving it.
The top note is not strong but rather medicinal-alcoholic, and at first, I thought it had gone off. After 5 minutes, however, I was sure it was Oud. Rose and Oud are very clearly perceivable from the start, and the other notes just round everything off a bit. Vanilla and musk are only hinted at and make the perfume soft and lovely.
It reminds me a bit of Rose Oud from The Body Shop.
All in all, a perfume for everyday wear, with which you definitely won't clash. Friendly, bright, feminine, lovely, and fresh.

Let´s Tango!
Today I chose Rose Aoud by Micallef for testing. My thanks to Florablanca.

What a sensual rose fragrance. But I find it very feminine. I wouldn't wear it, although....

The fragrance dialogue of oud and rose is very well done. The two behave like a dance couple in Argentine tango. The masculine oud skillfully leads the lush feminine rose to a beautiful fragrance melody made up of the remaining scent components. They spin, entwine, touch each other, and float with that subtly erotic essence of Argentine tango across the dance floor.

This fragrance is a delight! A delight with a small flaw. Unfortunately, the dancers tire quite early! After about 3 hours, only a memory of the tango melody can be perceived. One hums it very subtly to oneself when sniffing at the skin.

It seems a reapplication is in order. Therefore, no 10 points from the judges, but a 7 is still quite respectable, right?

Rose Rose, where have you gone???
As a rose enthusiast, as Pheli affectionately calls me, I simply had to have this variant of a rose fragrance - Rose Aoud by M. Micallef. Thanks to a lovely Dutch woman who offered it for sale, I was able to acquire it at a really good price.

It is exactly what I love about Micallef fragrances: the adventurous spirit of Martine Micallef. Who else would come up with the idea of combining the delicate, sweet, fresh rose scent with spicy, rich, and somewhat mysterious Aoud?

And yes, I truly sink into this fragrance, as it pours an overwhelming amount of fresh, wonderfully fragrant rose petals over me, in which I practically disappear - and that says something at 1.74m.
But just seconds later, the Aoud scent mixes in and massively overtakes the rose cloud.

Rose Aoud is now round, spicy, sweet, and sooooo delicious. The roses now only give it a certain floral note, but unfortunately, they bid farewell after just half an hour.

What surprised me incredibly was that the Aoud only lasted an hour longer, and then everything, absolutely everything, was gone. Nothing left of the rose, nothing left of the Aoud. The scent dissolved into nothing on my skin.

Such a wonderfully beautiful, such an extraordinary rose fragrance from such a great perfume house, and then this! Sillage is great but longevity is miserable.

But I won’t give up; I will try again and again and again until the bottle is empty. That would be something!!!

Addendum: I have since tried it several times. The result is always the same. The fragrance is truly wonderful, but I wouldn't normally buy it due to such fleetingness.

My First Aoud Experience
I sprayed Rose Aoud while out and about in the city to try it and couldn't get my nose off my wrist. It didn't smell really amazing and beautiful, but there was something about it that fascinated me. It must have been the Aoud. Seems to be some sort of addictive substance... A short time later, it was on sale, so I jumped at the chance. At the normal (high) Micallef price, I wouldn't have bought it; I was too unsure if I would really like to wear it often. And, well, now I have it and I neither wear it often nor enjoy it. And that's because of the Aoud. The rose is great. Plump and juicy, fresh and delicious. However, the Aoud in this case is not something I want to wear as a perfume. I need to delve deeper into this fragrance chapter; there are so many Aoud scent combinations, maybe there's a gem among them.
Unfortunately, here the Aoud is too harsh-woody-smoky for me. In combination with the rose, it's too unusual and unbalanced.
However, my bedroom always smells heavenly when I spray the curtains with it... :-)

Despite all prejudices... this scent reminds me of a cooling breeze in the rose garden!
Clear oud brushes against fresh, velvety rose! Noble

Rose-Aoudh - Pioneer. That's how the trend started. Gentle, soft rose, the Aoudh here is relatively delicate, almost tame. It wasn't bad at all.

Green-citrusy-elegant rose + spicy-patchouli-resinous + woody-medical oud, almost like Night Oud by M.

A light Oud that's brightened by the rose. Very fine scent. Lovely for spring!

Starts as a scratchy rose-oud yuck, followed gradually by an aromatic, delicately spicy rose cream. Feminine, elegant, flattering. Fine!

It's truly a tango between rose and oud, see Ergoproxy's comment! Rose and oud are subtle, I like it, longevity is average.

fruity rose, I don't perceive any Oud. Very feminine. Wonderful scent for the office.

A sharp, initially harsh, masculine rose scent, slightly smoky, becomes softer and more feminine later. Oud is more of a hidden note.
