Luxury Mizensir 2016

It is the one soap that you either give away or receive as a gift - and that one or another mother then happily keeps for years as a decorative object, because it would be too much of a shame to simply use it. It remains wrapped, already has a thin layer of dust, but still smells just like on the first day.
Unfortunately, the scent is really way too soapy for my taste - it’s almost too clean. But if someone is looking for exactly that, then they are in the right place.

“Luxury” opens with a powdery-citrus top note, combined with a light, green fizz in the distance. In the heart note, a wonderfully earthy-soft iris emerges, rounded off with a clean creaminess. Finally, the fragrance transforms into a warm, well-groomed-sweet skin note. On clothing, the longevity of “Luxury” is very high; even days later, I can still smell the fragrance on my scarf.

This perfume represents for me an elegant “understatement” that doesn’t need to make a loud impression but confidently rests within itself. A recommendation for iris lovers.

I would have imagined the scent to be more powerful, based on the name.
Luxury - splendor; Bling - Bling; magnificent and opulent, cloying and stuffy:
Opulent orange blossom
Dominant, stuffy iris and
heavy vanilla.

I probably wouldn't have liked that.
However, the radiant orange blossom smiles at me warmly; the fresh, zesty bergamot whistles a little tune in the background.
It feels like spring sunshine.
A bit of green - herbaceous notes join in; but not too unpleasant, perhaps thanks to the Ambrox?!
Powdery light iris floats in the nose rounded off with fine, delicate vanilla and tonka bean.
Nothing heavy, cloying, or opulent to be found.
Delicate, pure, and fresh.
Not feminine, not stiff, not prickly.
A great all-rounder.

I was able to test 5 fragrances from the Mizensir series today:
they all share an elegant lightness.
Right after the first spray, iris greets you.
A delicate, light, bright floral-fresh version.
Iris in a chiffon dress.
It wafts lightly and florally.. blurring its contours and making it all the more sensual.
Vanilla and tonka bean gradually warm this airy scent.
And then it has an inimitable elegance.
Somewhat airier than "Iris 2014" by Galion, a bit calmer and warmer, and deliciously balanced.
