An abomination on gourmands as a whole

This is an insult on bakery and bakers all around the world. A vanilla cake? Sure, maybe a box mix cake made with expired milk, fertilized eggs, and an oven with faulty wiring. And after the biohazard comes out of the "oven", it's then left to sit out in the sun for days, weeks, maybe even months. This is my first ever review. I created this account to warn people about this odorant. DO NOT BLIND BUY AT ALL COSTS. If you ever think about smelling this in a store, be weary and stay safe.

Notes look incredible. Name is incredible. Do not be decieved. This is such a woody and smoky scent. My grandma said I smell like pine trees. I don't personally smell pine trees but anyway, how is there no incense note listed? Or at least some musky woody notes or something like that? Yes, this is so very sticky and sickly sweet, yes there is a strong creamy syrup vanilla, but to my nose, the vanilla gives a playdoh vibe. Idk it's just so underwhelming and non-edible. It also has the tendency to smell pissy in a beach sand way on my skin, which sucks. It legit feels illegal for me not to like this but here I am I guess. I really wanted to like this so bad. It's just not the vibe. If u like gourmands, STAY AWAY

Delicious Satisfier

In the dark season, I often crave something sweet - no wonder, as the dopamine levels need to be lifted.

But sweet treats stick to the teeth - and to the hips.

So my mom taught me to reach for a vanilla scent, which, according to her experience, calms the "sweet tooth."

So Vanilla Cake came in very handy.

An oven-warm vanilla strudel, topped with almond slivers and drizzled with caramel sauce appears like a hologram before my "gawking" eyes.
I want to storm the cake counter at Kstadt, armed with a cake fork and a dazed look.

But - hold on!
In between stands a car ride - and, even worse - the search for the car keys.

But this delay turns out to be a blessing - as mom's prophecy comes true.
This sweet, soft cake aroma has successfully calmed my synapses - and peace returns.
A desired placebo effect - so to speak.

I feel satisfied - but not uncomfortably stuffed - and can enjoy the delicious scent.

Even my husband buzzes around me kindly - and senses a "cozy" atmosphere.

I can only agree.

A Visit to the Kitsch-filled Bedroom of a Girl Playing with Her Grandma's Ancient Cosmetics

The scent is many things, but for me, it is not primarily vanilla.
That it would be synthetic, sure, no surprise, it could have been done well or interestingly synthetic, but this one is really rather strange.
At the beginning: for me, caramel-chocolate plus hair conditioner, and a very penetrating waxy note comes to the forefront, (somehow also musty) that reminds me a lot of an old jar of lip balm that had been left open for too long.
Then vanilla-strawberry scented candle.
A bit of modeling clay.
The "My Little Ponies" of my childhood; plastic and still that dull, waxy note, which I find really disgusting, but at least it gradually recedes into the background.
Toasted American ready-made muffins come in later.
Cold milk with sugary cereals.
The wrist keeps coming back to the nose, just like ready-made products full of flavor enhancers can be addictive, but I would rather not wear this, just like one can feel disgusted after a binge on bad, artificial food.
There are much better vanilla gourmands that smell tastier and/or more stylish.

Montale Vanilla Cake - a gourmand fragrance as it should be. A scent that already smells so sweet and strong from the sprayer that it almost knocks you over or makes you float on cloud nine. Upon the first sniff, it is clear what this is about: nothing other than juicy cake, the name says it all. This is not the case with every Montale, sometimes the names can be misleading.

I find it difficult to categorize these scent nuances into a pyramid, as so much comes together at once: vanilla, sugar, cream, a bit of roasted almond, along with strawberry and cherry in between (even if not listed). It actually smells like a perfect strawberry tart made by grandma, prepared with love. On the side, a hot milk with honey makes this cozy winter dessert perfect. One is already full from smelling after just a few minutes :-)

Vanilla Cake envelops the wearer in a strong sillage for quite a long time, which has the potential to fill an entire room. Perhaps for this reason, one should be cautious with the spray bursts. The fragrance hardly changes over hours and remains largely linear. The light fruity notes slowly fade over time, leaving behind a sugary vanilla base. Somehow, you can't keep your nose away from it; you’d prefer to constantly bite your arm.

Yes, Vanilla Cake is definitely more feminine but can definitely be imagined as a unisex fragrance. Perfect for winter, perhaps for a date, Vanilla Cake is simply irresistibly tempting.
