american kitsch, the second
Jill Stuart, a New York fashion designer who also has her own cosmetics line. Not quite as well-known here in Germany. But I managed to get my hands on two perfume samples.
Now, one can debate the beauty of the bottles; for me, it leans a bit towards the kitschy side. It is the same bottle as Jill Stuart (Eau de Toilette), only this perfume has a pink tint.
About the scent:
Here too, I expected quite a bit based on the fragrance notes.
But again, it holds true: it is a thin but very sweet, feminine perfume. Initially, upon spraying, there is a lot of alcohol, then I am hit by a fruit bomb. Very sweet, syrupy, and extremely artificial. I can't identify any individual components; it is a homogeneous mix. Then the floral notes blend in, with the "piercing gardenia" and "headache-inducing jasmine" leading the way. Lastly, a gentle vanilla note tries to round it all off, which actually succeeds, but unfortunately makes it even sweeter.
Overall, a cheap, artificially smelling little perfume in a bottle that feigns exclusivity.
