Rose for Rose Avoidant

I love rose, but I can't do rose scents because they're TOO MUCH. This is the rose for people who don't like rose. It's exquisitely balanced. The rose and pink pepper mellow each other to a soft, beautiful mildly sweet open. It's not a rose bomb. It's a rose faire la bise. It dries down to a sophisticated, sexy, deep, warm sweet wood.

This is the scent to wear if you want to stealth seduce someone. It doesn’t scream sex–it whispers. It's both innocent and deeply sensual.

Feels tailor-made

As my profile mentions I love "quirky" florals, and I love rose notes. When I saw Phlur, a brand I really enjoy, was coming out with a warm, ambery rose, I knew I had to try it. Something about the cashmere and musk makes this rose feel especially sensual and warm without coming across as a "Date Night Only" kind of smell. It doesn't last too long, but I don't really mind- this isn't an "all day" fragrance.

I Am Tired

Just another PDM Delina type perfume. Are they identical? No, but I am tired of every other perfume house coming out with a Delina-esque perfume. It's not bad, just boring at this point. You can make a rose perfume that stands out without having them all smell similar. I get that perfumes are subjective, but I will not be getting this as I already have a bunch that all promised to be different, but ended up smelling the same.

Lovely intimate sensual rose.

This opens as a yummy bright jammy rose. I lose the blackcurrant for a bit, as it very quickly then gives super sweet candy rose as the liquid is drying. But after a few minutes it starts to settle, the pink pepper comes through, but gently so. There’s a freshness in the middle. The osthamus is lovely here as it gives the sweet jammy rose a hint of fuzzy ripe apricot. I’m not getting any nutmeg, I can smell the woodiness coming from the base. The amber, musk and cashmere wood in the dry down are really lovely. Benzoin and sandalwood aren’t listed in the notes, but I’m defo getting a trace of Phlur’s distinct DNA which is lovely here and adds a tease of creaminess at the base to this fruity, sweet rose.

Despite this opening as a bright, jammy gourmand-esque rose, it has settled into a beautiful, ever so slightly spicy, fresh & slightly woody, fruity rose with a warm ambery, slightly musky, base that gives it a tease of an intimate, sensual rose. Beautiful!

This is really lovely. It’s one of those rose perfumes we’re a person will say “I don’t like rose” but possibly change their mind when they smell this. Very nice indeed.

Sweet dry down that fades immediately

I’m not a lover of rose fragrances, but it’s not too screechy or overwhelming here. It has a really sweet and juicy scent bubble at the dry down, but that does sadly fade within a few minutes. After that, it turns into a basic rose scent to me, albeit quite faint. I also get a bit of musk and osmanthus, but no amber, nutmeg, or cashmere wood. Lasts about 5 hours on me. I saw that it was compared to Delina Eau de Parfum and Delina Exclusif but I disagree. Delina is much sweeter and Delina Exclusif is woodier and more powdery.
