Sweet pastel infusion

All the Infusions by Prada are so clean, understated and elegant. I thought Infusion d'Amande was the sweetest, most playful one out of the bunch, but that was before I tried Infusion de Vanille.

It's such a cute scent, it feels much less serious and also less soapy than the other Infusions. Don't get me wrong, it still has a powdery texture and feels clean, and it's definitely not a super-warm and gourmand kind of vanilla. It even has a cooling aspect and a green, anisic opening due to the angelica.
But it also kind of smells like a vanilla scented plastic doll from the 90s. In the best possible way, I love dollskin-like scents! And this one is not too overly sweet, maybe because there are no fruity or foody notes to compete with the vanilla. So, this feels very feminine to me, in a soft, fluffy, pastel-colored way. The brown coloring of the bottle feels very off, literally anything from baby blue to yellow to soft pink or mint would have felt more fitting. I guess because Prada aready used these colors for other Infusions, there was nothing better than brown left for their vanilla.

Even though my description might make this sound very girly, I actually think it's a versatile scent that can easily be worn for work or whatever occasion. Not only because I think we should not hide our feminine side, but also because it still carries enough of the Infusions-DNA to come off as clean and understated. Just with a little sweet twist.

Vanilla Sex for Boomers

Smells like "Vanilla Sex / Vanilla | Tom Ford" with a nice helping of Coty Airspun powder at the end. If you're a movie fan, VS is the scene from Pearl with the scarecrow and this is the scene from X with the homeowners. I got it from a Sephora sampler set and I think it's the angelica seed that's giving it that screechy powdery old lady smell. In fact I find the vanilla is barely detectable underneath that after just a few minutes. Definitely will not be redeeming the voucher on a full size version of this. Will probably be scrubbing this off of my wrists in the next few minutes.

Vanilla fairy dust

I believe this line from Prada doesn’t get enough love from the perfume community.
The hype goes to the beast mode fragrances, and so something as chic and elegant as this line gets ignored (well, sort of, as I think this is quite the popular line).

I love it, it’s like bathing in vanilla water, it’s a perfume that whispers and doesn’t scream, and the vanilla that comes out of it it’s a true vanilla pod, almost dirty (reminds me of ylang-ylang) and I absolutely adore how they were able to create such a delicate scent while maintaining that DNA that usually is quite strong.

I believe this is a perfume (a line) perfect for the book lovers, for the quiet people, those who enter a room without announcing they’re there and after a while their comforting aura is there. Beautifully executed, I love to wear it after a warm shower.

Wonderful Sweet Creamy Vanilla

I recently had the chance to test Infusion de Vanille by Prada.
I applied it with joy, without noticing at first glance that it was vanilla. The bottles are familiar from, for example, the Iris, etc.

What immediately hits the nose is the pleasant vanilla; it is sweet, creamy, slightly powdery, and distinctly noticeable. Paired with a light acidity from the citrus fruits, it creates a wonderful combination, especially for spring. In summer, it might be a bit overwhelming.

As time goes on, the scent hardly changes; the vanilla remains clearly detectable. A hint of musk joins in.

I find the longevity to be good personally. However, the sillage seems a bit disappointing. I can perceive the scent distinctly for several hours, but my companions (who always notice everything) hardly smelled it at all.

All in all, a great everyday scent if you like sweet vanilla.

Clean Fresh Vanilla

I definitely need to write a detailed review about this wonderful vanilla scent: Infusion de Vanille from the Les Infusions line by Prada. A truly great line that addresses many themes combined with the cleanliness of the infusion DNA. Even though the line may not officially be considered niche, it has a somewhat niche quality to it, and the execution often feels luxurious and clean. The scent is a few years old and comes from the good Prada era with Daniela Andrier, who has unfortunately faded somewhat from the scene. I love the clean and noble creations that, fortunately, are still somewhat available. Here you get, as the name suggests, a vanilla scent that is quite easy to wear. Of course, vanilla is a note that has a huge fan base, and many like to wear this note in spring/summer, which gives you a chance with the airy, relaxed DNA. It’s not a gourmand vanilla, but paired with cleanliness and freshness.

The scent is not as widespread as many other Pradas, but many do carry this fragrance. The recommended retail price for 100ml has a niche character at €180, which I don't really see here. However, it is already available for around €100, which is quite reasonable. The bottle is typically good and fits into the uniform look of the line.
What I absolutely love about this scent? The twist of vanilla and freshness, and yes: it works. This wonderful note can also be worn in spring and summer, as the vanilla is not really gourmand. This vanilla is complemented by citrus-fresh notes of citrus fruits, bergamot, and neroli. The neroli note comes through really well at the start and gives the fragrance its typical lightness. I also really like the citrus notes here; they are rather soft and lay as a fresh component under the vanilla. The vanilla note is sweet, yet also quite soft and easy to like. The vanilla does not become too overpowering, which makes the scent extremely pleasant. The angelica seeds and the musk base then give the fragrance the typical infusion signature, which definitely belongs here. Those who know the line will get a scent as expected, including the vanilla. Overall, very harmonious & wonderful.
Performance is very solid; however, the sillage is rather gentle, which suits the DNA well. It’s not a pure skin scent, but a huge projection is not present here. Longevity? Quite good with 7-8 hours, making it suitable for everyday wear if you like to wear vanilla and don’t apply it too heavily. The scent is unisex, but rather clean and well-behaved. If you like it, you can wear it.

Overall, a great relatively fresh clean vanilla scent that convinces me. I love the note of vanilla, and here you get a vanilla for the whole year.
