Who among us doesn't love pineapple, whether in a cocktail, as a decoration or as a place to live, and rumor has it that some people even eat it just for fun. So anyone who loves this extremely versatile fruit will probably find what they are looking for here. I was already expecting the EDP after I really liked the EDT, but it was already clear that a higher concentration was on its way.
I'm not going to compare the two fragrances too much, for me they are relatively similar and only differ in strength, I'll just say that the EDT is supposed to be more radiant and last longer. In the EDP, the pineapple is initially very present on the test strip, apart from it there is very little going on. So what does this pineapple want from us? To be eaten as quickly as possible, it seems, because it is very ripe and very sweet, the typical fruit acidity has been gone for a day. It promises a very sweet experience. On the skin, on the other hand, the pineapple recovers from its feigned decrepitude and lo and behold, we have a nice acidity that ensures that we don't get a sugar shock from all the sweetness, the pyramid claims mandarin and bergamot, but my lady of the heart and I both suspect that the pineapple is secretly making out with the kiwi, at least that's what it smells like. In the drydown, the EDP turns out to be the big brother, it's a bit more grown-up than the EDT, so maybe it's not Spongebob who lives in that pineapple after all, but Sandy.
Conclusion: A young, solid fragrance, wearable unisex with a little courage and for the price a good choice for the summer, a nice addition to collections that don't just consist of Ultra Niche, but also for those for whom the brutal Erba Pura fruit basket is one too many. If you have an even smaller wallet but really can't do without pineapple, the
Qaed Al Fursan, for example, would also be worth a sniff, a colleague of mine likes to wear it very much, only the radiation is unfortunately a sore point. On that note, bon appétit while sniffing the fruit ^^
