An Enigma of a Scent.(first review)
This is chaotic neutral in a bottle.

This scent starts off with a spicy wood that absolutely shocks my system. The opening also has a good oily feel to it that reminds me of a dark souls boss. Straight villainy.

But there is more to this fragrance than just the first sniff, it instantaneously changes into a oily floral that seems descended from heaven itself. It is so dark though, darker than any dark my nose has had the pleasure of smelling before. The drydown is something I'd imagine Dio from JJBA would wear, kind of. Not a true villain dry down, it smells like the morals that still remain. Sexy, but murderous.

and the performance is heavenly, its like a cockroach that won't go away. Would be my scent for the apocalypse.

Would recommend if you are a kindred spirit like me. Do try a sample first because this scent is not for everyone.

This is Art
About two weeks ago, I visited Breuninger in Stuttgart after a long time. As usual, I headed straight to the perfume section. There was a wall shelf filled with Terenzi fragrances. Until then, I had never heard of them. They hadn't caught my attention at all. Maybe Breuninger has just added them to their sales program. Anyway. I looked at all the bottles and their names. I immediately liked Caput Mundi. Picked up the bottle. Sprayed it on. Waited. Smelled. Was thrilled. It can happen so quickly. Looked at the price: €260. For the 100ml bottle. Put the bottle back on the shelf. Raised my eyebrows. Strolled on. In between, I kept smelling my wrist. The scent wouldn't let me go. It captivated me. The intervals of smelling became shorter and shorter. Once home, I experienced the scent with closed eyes. Felt magically drawn to it. To the scent. Still not to the price.
The next day, I immediately checked here on Parfumo. Quite a low rating (6.8). I had actually expected 7.5 plus. Whatever. Tastes are known to be different. A rating from others says nothing about one's own taste. True! But if it weren't for this price then...
...then I would still buy it. Of course cheaper. Of course not at Breuninger. I was convinced of that. My online research: at parfimo.de. And I had to laugh. Because of the name. Because of the price there. Just on sale. Seventy-four EurosSomethingElse. Ordered. Paid. Satisfied.

How does Caput Mundi smell? Good. No. Very good. Oh, what am I saying. For me, exceptionally good. And different.
It starts off intensely fresh. And chaotic. But only for a short while. It calms down and organizes itself quickly. It deserves the wait. After that: lily of the valley and tea rose. Balsamic accords. A bit powdery. Slightly sweet. Floral mix with noticeable rose. The one from Bulgaria. A bit of iris and maybe saffron. The latter is a guess. I like to use saffron in cooking. Just a little. I like it. The scent is still good. No. Even better. It becomes softer. Oud joins in. But not a brutal one. A lovely one. A soft oud. A quiet oud. Sandalwood too. I'm still looking for the cedar. Later, it becomes increasingly softer. Smoother. Probably due to the cashmere. I have two cashmere sweaters. I like them. Four hours later. A dream. Very soft. Very smooth. Slightly sweet. Still a bit powdery. Slightly floral. That's due to the rose. The one from Bulgaria. It's still present. Mixed with oud in a trio with cashmere. Classy! And sandalwood. That's probably what makes it.

Next day. The scent is still there. Of course, it has become much lighter overnight. Rose and sandalwood are holding hands. Cashmere is probably still there too. Yes, and soft oud. The quiet oud. Took a shower. Still detectable. Sprayed the scent again. Went to the office. Received compliments. From women. The men were all working from home.

Beautiful. Light. Smooth. A bit feminine. The scent. Whatever. This is art.

Beautiful. Heavy. Noble. A bit unwieldy. The bottle. Whatever. This is art. Just like the scent.

Beautiful. Light. Large. A bit too large. The packaging. Whatever. This is art. Just like the bottle.

Why do I write like this? Whatever. This is art. Just like everything.

Unclean lemon-sour floral note over dark-woody, slightly savory spiciness
lingers for hours even after a shower.

Pure soap. Soft soap. Fine soap. Sweet shaving soap. Moisturizing soap. Liquid soap. That's it.

No, no, NO! Cheapest, sharp shaving water, ugh. You're much better off with any aftershave from Aldi, Rossmann, etc.!

The beginning is difficult
Fresh, piercing, indefinable notes
Soon, rose appears in all its glory
woody, oudy, beautifully velvety

Beautiful scent that reminds me a lot of its big siblings - Draco and Kirke, not twins, but there is some resemblance.

I don't often have to wash off a fragrance, but with this one, I had to give up. Pungent and almost unbearable.
