Cheerful Fruity-Floral Freshie
Summer is over, yet I still have a review for a fragrance that best suits the warm season: Cabiria from the Anniversari line. A line that is extremely expensive and comes in a hefty packaging. A large box, when opened, shines an LED on the golden part of the lid. It already seems very decadent, even if it probably isn't that costly to produce. From this line, I also own the "Burdèl | Tiziana Terenzi," which leans towards Alexandria II. Here, this fragrance is indicated as similar to "Kirkè (Extrait de Parfum) | Tiziana Terenzi." These fragrances are quite distant but go in a similarly fruity-floral direction, though they don't remind me of this bestseller from the same house in terms of DNA.
Price-wise, it must be said that the RRP is somewhat cheeky, like many niche fragrances. Currently, 100ml has an RRP of €415. No way, in my opinion, this price is totally inflated and is possibly worth more like half that. Fortunately, it should be noted that the internet prices for Terenzi fragrances are usually between 50 and 70% below the RRP, which often reflects the real value of the fragrances quite well.

Cabiria is a fresh-fruity fragrance, where floral notes also unfold after some time, along with the usual musk base. What I particularly like about this fragrance is the wonderful cheerful fruity top note, which lasts a long time. Juicy summer fruit, especially melon, with a fantastic authentic apple note. There’s also a slightly grassy green freshness that simply lifts the mood and fits best with radiant sunshine. Pear and blackcurrant are somewhat overshadowed but may play a part in this wonderful fruity top note. After about an hour, floral notes come into play. Fresh rose & jasmine create a lovely pleasant fresh-floral heart note that beautifully complements the fruity notes. Some heavier heliotrope notes also come in, but they harmonize well with this rather summery creation. The base consists of clean musk, vanilla, and soft woods. You have to be okay with the musk base, which leans towards Kirke and Erba Pura. Here, however, it’s not as overpowering due to the gentle vanilla and sensual wood notes. Overall, it is beautifully soft without having a weak sillage.
Performance is, as usual, very Terenzi-like. For this price, you get quite a lot if performance means a lot to you. Specifically, the fruity-floral part is very strong, and the longevity should easily surpass the 10-hour mark.
Overall, a great unisex fragrance with this typical Terenzi signature. Due to the floral notes, it may be too feminine for some, but anyone interested in fruity-floral can wear this if it suits their type. Versatile in terms of occasion due to the relatively fresh DNA. Also wearable year-round, thanks to the heavier notes in the base.

All in all, a great alternative to fragrances like Kirke. Those who roughly like this style could find an alternative here. I think the melon opening is fantastic, and the further development is pure Italian joy of life. Worth it, especially at the price between €150-170.

Fruity fragrance that takes a slightly different path
Looking at the fragrance notes, I didn't really expect anything extremely new. Since I have already smelled many fruity fragrances, many from the same house, Cabiria didn't really appeal to me.

The fragrance
Cabiria starts with the fruity Terenzi DNA, except for a few fragrance notes. However, quite early on, Cabiria does differ from many other fruity fragrances.

In the top notes, I can most strongly detect blackcurrant, apple, grassy notes, and a bit of pear. Mint and melon get a bit lost for me. The grassy notes give the fragrance a rather unique direction.
Then, in the course, floral notes emerge, with jasmine being the most prominent. Generally, all the floral notes are quite rounded; none stands out, and even the rose remains very subtle and does not dominate. They are not overly bright and strongly floral.
In the drydown, there are some woody notes that are very soft and hardly noticeable, as well as vanilla and musk.

Overall, Cabiria is a very fruity fragrance with a slightly woody drydown and sweet notes throughout. The green notes from the grass make a huge difference compared to other fruity fragrances. Combined with the blackcurrant, it fits very well, giving the fragrance a fresh quality.

It is worth highlighting that Cabiria has really good quality for a fruity fragrance. I have no associations with hairspray here. Also, there is not much synthetic quality; compared to Kirke, for example, I find Cabiria to be significantly better in quality. Also, in comparison with Kirke, which I personally find way too sweet, I would wear Cabiria myself. This fragrance is more unisex to my nose.

Due to the green notes, this fragrance is versatile, as this sweetness gets a counterbalance, preventing the fragrance from becoming endlessly sweet.
Many of these fragrances that remind me of fruit cocktails are often scents I prefer for vacation. However, because of these green notes, I wouldn't categorize Cabiria there; rather, they make it a fruity fragrance that can also be worn quite well in everyday life.

Cabiria stands in the shadow of other fruity fragrances for me; it is not marketed as intensely.
When I think of fruity fragrances, many other scents come to mind. I really like it, but I probably wouldn't have tested it if it hadn't been given to me at a souk. Most people will likely not test it. Unfortunately, it is also a bit more expensive compared to the well-known fruity scent from the house, Kirke.

Longevity and sillage
The longevity is extremely good. This perfume lasts all day without any problems. The sillage, however, is not too extreme, but it is very noticeable.

Conclusion
I really liked Cabiria. A slightly different fruity fragrance with great quality. Unfortunately, it is also a bit more expensive, but compared to the Sea Star collection from Terenzi, it is a fruity fragrance with a more affordable price and a somewhat unique DNA. It belongs to the newer fragrances and may gain a bit more attention in the future.

Another great creation by Paolo Terenzi?
Cabiria has been in my collection since yesterday. It was once again a typical blind buy for me. The price was simply too good to resist. I can immediately reassure all the haters of Kirkè, for me, Cabiria is much less sweet and does not have the hairspray note that many always fear. Of course, the typical fruity and sweet Tiziana Terenzi DNA cannot be completely absent here, but it has been used very gently and cautiously.

I can identify the following notes in Cabiria: A green grass note, where I would rather describe it as the scent of grass on a slightly cooler summer morning where there is still a bit of dew on the blades of grass and the sun is slowly starting to warm the ground. An apple note can also be recognized, although it reminds me more of apple blossoms, which could certainly be influenced by the other notes of Cabiria for me. I cannot perceive a melon at all. The mint is very faint, where I rather smell a slightly sweeter spearmint. The blackcurrant note is very prominent for me. I also liked it very much in Bleecker Street.

The heart note is rather floral fruity and represents a change from the top note. This pulls Cabiria in another direction after about an hour. I can recognize all the floral notes, with jasmine dominating here, followed by rose and the rather weak heliotrope. Fortunately, I could not detect amber.

The base note does not really reveal itself to me. I can only recognize vanilla and musk here. The woody notes are completely absent. For me, the floral aspect remains present in the base note, combined with the fruity top note.

I must also say that Cabiria is quite similar to Moro di Venezia, although Cabiria is significantly less floral and truly perfect unisex. Actually, you don’t necessarily need both perfumes, although I find Cabiria a bit more suitable for a man and truly see it as a 50/50 unisex scent.

The longevity leaves nothing to be desired; even after 10 hours, I could still faintly smell Cabiria. The sillage is a bit over an arm's length for 2-3 hours and then gradually returns to a sillage under an arm's length. Cabiria was only close to my skin after about 8 hours.

The MSRP is, of course, set too high again, but with a 50% discount, the price is in a reasonable range.

For me, Cabiria is another very successful creation, even though I would have appreciated a bit more uniqueness.

Blend=fruits+flowers. The rose-jasmine-musk mix= intense, overshadows the rest. Too bad.

a bit of green stuff at the start, then plastic roses and piercing musk until you can't take it anymore. TT and I… this isn't going to work

Recently tested in Marbella, a really nice fruity and quite rounded scent, a great alternative to Kirkè and Co.

Melon and apple - a bit artificial - a bit unnatural - a bit feminine!
Not a terrible scent but also not a must-have.

A very unknown Terenzi, unfortunately!
Here too, a fruit cocktail, but with a green twist and floral variety.
Interesting.
