The best Born In Roma

Comes down to personal preferance but this is by far my favourite fragrance from Valentino's Born In Roma line. It's a very green, herbal, citrusy fragrance. Somewhat similar to YSL's MYSLF but not as floral, seen it's similar to Ralph's Club but never tried it so can't comment on that. Vetiver isn't listed but it's definietly here because it has a little bit of an earthy vetiver feel to it. Not dirty tho because it has a clean fresh shampoo scent to it. Good all year, versatile, any occasion type of fragrance. It’s an EDT, it doesn’t project a lot but it easily lasts 7-8 hours that would get you through the day. I would repurchase this and wear it over MYSLF anytime and i like MYSLF quite a lot, it just smells like a superior more mature & masculine version of it.

Minimalism in a bottle

The fragrance starts, as I find, very fresh and aromatic. Of the citrus notes listed here I get rather little. In the drydown, the aromatic notes subordinate themselves, and the amber comes to the fore. This gives the fragrance a touch of warmth and sweetness. Has, as I find, slight parallels to the YSL Y EdP. H/S pretty average. 7 hours the scent lasts with me, and projects well in the 1st hour. In summary, Valentino Rockstud Noir is a safe, inoffensive, minimalist fragrance that you can wear all year round. Not an exceptional fragrance, but people pleasing. The only drawback to the fragrance for me is the price. (~100€)
