More of the same

The parfum version of MYSLF takes some cues from the original, but introduces a sort of "dirtiness" to the white floral accord that reminds me of Reflection Man or Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Homme. It improves the overall effect, but for me, there's no reason not to just get one of those two, where the white florals are more pronounced and the effect is bolder. MYSLF "Le" Parfum doesn't really know what it is. A male-oriented white floral statement-maker? A bland and boring Amberwood™? It splits the difference without being very good at either.

Still better than the uninspired utter tedium that is Myslf.

Modern everyday fragrance

Smells like a blue version of one million to my nose, can wear any time and it's classy with a YSL french touch. I've seen some people say they smell cinnamon and others say absolutely not, but i also get cinnamon. Feels like a great mix of cinnamon/orange blossom/amber wood.

I've been using it as a signature fragrance since i got it and it gets alot of positive attention. I used to own BDC Parfum and Y EDP and they're good and got similar attention but this beats them in that department. To me it also just smells better than any other blue fragrance at the moment. I'm comparing MYSLF to these fragrances because it has a very nice clean "shower gel" vibe to it, which i desire in an everyday fragrance.

Tested both this and the EDP version before buying and the Le parfum is deeper and lasts longer. I think the EDP would only be better in very hot sunny days.

Snobs on the internet that want to smell like ink and cumin won't like it, but if you just want to smell good i highly recommend you try it.

Just OK

Been testing this one for some days now, and all I can say is that is just alright, smells good, doesnt smell cheap, but surely you've smelled something like this at least once.

It opens with this white floral smell, that can remind you of some clean sheets or towels, that shortly after turns into a sweeter, richer aroma. As it dries down it comes with some vanillic and woody nuances, but thats pretty much it.

It really doesn't evolve past this sweet/woody phase, and maybe that's my issue with it, its just that. It really smells nice but for me overall it is sort of boring.

I can see this fitting for pretty much day or night, maybe not on really hot humid days.

I asume that was the idea, a scent for people that only have 1 or maybe 2 perfumes, and I respect that, sadly I no longer fall into this category

Bring the surprise

Great scent from opening thru the mid and the dry down EXCEPT. There is a funky smell in the dry down that’s in both Myslf Edp and MOR prominent in the Parfum. And I could not for the life of me figure out why women like this on men. To me it’s a barely noticeable but it’s there. Then one Saturday after a brisk walk with no deodorant or cologne on, I smell the same scent on me. This is crazy the smell from both myslf esp and parfum is a mildly sweaty man after a workout. This explains why I have women complement me more during the dry down. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a crazy bad smell just a mild sweaty musky scent mixed in. I still think it’s a banger tho and it pairs well with other scents and that sweaty smell always comes through.

Tried very hard to like it but Boring Scent - Myslf Le Parfum

I picked up YSL Myslf Le Parfum from Sephora at a 25% discount. If it hadn’t been on sale, I definitely wouldn’t have bought it. My original plan was to get Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDP. I never liked it too much, but my options were limited, and since a friend of mine owned it and praised it, I wanted to give it a try. In the end, that fragrance turned out boring as well—but Myslf feels even more boring.

The sales guy told me Myslf was one of the best-performing ones, so I gave it a chance. I had smelled the Le Parfum version before and thought it was too floral and slightly feminine, but that day, after testing so many scents, it felt okay enough to buy. My girlfriend liked it at first, which made me think I’d found a versatile daily fragrance.

But the truth is, I tried so hard to like it. I kept spraying it on my arm in my free time, hoping it would grow on me. Sometimes I’d even grab the bottle thinking, “Alright, I’ll wear this today,” but after one sniff, I’d put it back down, realizing it’s just not worth it. No matter how many chances I gave it, I ended up deciding it’s simply a useless fragrance.

After wearing it for a few days, I saw it for what it is: just a heavy, boring vanilla scent. Masculine maybe, but dull, tiring, and without any real personality. To me, it’s even more boring than Luna Rossa Ocean.

Honestly, something like Gucci Guilty Elixir is way better in both performance and scent. Myslf, on the other hand, feels like a complete regret—pointless, unnecessary, and boring. It performs okay, but I can’t overspray it because it becomes too overwhelming, which is unusual for me since I usually love overspraying.
