Dry vintage rose and plum
This opens up with a delicious boozy plum and vanilla. It smells like some plum liqueur that was kept in a wooden barrel.

Unfortunately it quickly goes downhill in the drydown. Jasmine is not as prominent as the name suggests, but it's quite indolic. Together with the rose, the herbal angelica and the dry, cold incense it smells like potpourri on my skin. It's sour and dry with a tobacco-ish undertone. There are still some hints of the beautiful plum and warmer balsamic notes that make the scent bearable to my nose, but I hoped for more of that. The vanilla from the opening doesn't stand a chance against the other notes. The overall scent is just not as warm and lush as I expected.
I don't know why I get so much rose from this, and such a stuffy one at that, when most other reviwers don't, but the drydown really smells mostly like dusty dried rose petals and resins on me.

I guess Wood Jasmin not a bad scent, just not my taste and maybe not ideal for my skin. I don't really dislike it, but I don't like it either, and I liked the drydown better on a blotter than on myself. Out of all bdk fragrances I tried, it was my least favorite.
This could be worth a try for those who prefer pre-90s vintage perfumes over more recent releases though, there is something rather old-school about the composition.

Plum cake with mahlep and dings
I don't know, has anyone here seen Bojack Horseman? That adorable episode where he has to go into the underwater world (the only must-see of the series anyway, I think), and the baby seahorse goes crazy when it breaks off Z u c k e r? It's a similar start here: to the DUUUUURCHDREÜÜÜß!!!
- AAAH ...Anyway. I've never had this before: either no sweetness at all, or a little. Or something annoying.

But this one is of a completely different caliber, this slightly biting sweetness, like honey on the tongue... Smack, full-on plum flush - it's great not to leave the house for half an hour until you've calmed down again. Yes, yes. If you're looking for a nice, one-note fragrance, you've definitely come to the wrong place - this one's a blast.
I mean, hey. Maybe that's why everyone looking for woody fragrances is disappointed. (Although - attention, digression: I can't walk past freshly felled wood in any forest without immediately sticking to it, i.e. with my nose, and there was once some at my obsidian find that smelled - this is now really true - totally of vanilla. In this respect, wood is good for surprises, real ones, I mean) But, Bäck to se Thema, this is plum cake - smack in the face. - That's the moment when the distinguished man in his late twenties comes to the trendy weekly market, perfumed as he is, and gets caught in the middle when some low-level bickering breaks out, so that he gets the cake that's flying because he's staring at it when the plump, elderly bakers screech, plum cake, what else, gossip. In the face.

With nuts! Yes, what else can you say! Delicious!

Yes, wait, it's better to say that there is one glaring disadvantage. - It's not suitable for clothes, at least not for hoodies and sweaters. At best for something that will be in the wash the next day anyway, because the drydown smells on clothes as if a woman had hit her own scarf in the course of anatomical experimental techniques or a man in the all too wild pleasure of spontaneous relief when peeing in the forest. In any case! Nevertheless: Spring's most spring-like scent e v e r, also to be used in summer when I turn into an old baking woman again. To my huge surprise, it jumped straight into my Top Three, even though it's actually only suitable for skin, as it doesn't usually fit in with my habits. What's more, it kicked Melting Lust out of my collection - yes, my beloved Melting Lust for a short time!!! Somehow (no way to put it nicely) I only had this "KirschsaftPur" apparently because I didn't yet know that there was - d a a a a a s h i e r .

But it's not for sale, I immediately gave it away yesterday. To the neighbor next door, who had already dusted off my Orissima Divine. Because, like me, she loves it when the weeping cherry trees bloom in our park at the beginning of March and all you have to do is open the window for the whole apartment to smell like that, right in the middle of the city. - For me, however, Melting Lust smells more like jam and juice, and purely fruity cherry...
Wood Jasmin, on the other hand, totally captures the tart flair of the blossoming Japanese weeping cherry for me (perhaps because of the oriental cherry pit powder twist, what's that stuff called again? Great in pastries, available in every Aunt Aishe store on every other street corner) - next to country airy plum tart, with that aforementioned hint of metropolitan "men's perfume".

You can also layer them, by the way!

But I won't let the neighbor try it out, otherwise she'll want this too XD Well, anyway. When the bottle is empty, I SOOOO want to go on an adventure to this ominous perfumery Pieper, they're supposed to have BDK (because, online?! Whaaaat, where's the fun in that). Maybe one more thing, unfortunately the shelf life is really rather poor. The whole circus stops quite abruptly - but then you can wear something else on the same day.

The beauty of the cherry
...now I'm going to write something about this wonderful fragrance.

soooooo:

I was totally surprised when I sprayed on the fragrance and smelled it for the first time,

Jasmine???
Wood???
Plum???
Pear??

and so on....

I smell a beautiful unsweet cherry with an unsweet vanilla and warm spices (patchouli???) in the background, but above all a ripe cherry or better still sour cherry in its most beautiful kind, tipsy with a noble port wine.....

So extravagant, fruity, sensual, so subtly attractive, rather the cool blonde or the unapproachable brunette, no matter, sensual but very concealed, but not to be overlooked, uh, over-scented and somewhat mysterious.

no mainstream, no omamuff, no hairspray, no shower gel, no detergent, no spice bomb, simply beautifully designed.

One note reminds me a little of Indian Holi by Kenzo, which has been withdrawn from the market, but this was sweeter and rounder, yet the note that I really liked there is very present here, pear perhaps???

A direct hit for me!

Durability top, aura top.

Think but nothing for the summer, rather fall winter, but as you like it.

The bottle has already moved in and may stay, I think it will last a long time

The plum opening reminds me of the smell in an asian grocery store. Then it gets more medicinal. Drydown is heavenly! Overall not my taste.

I can understand the Jasmin, because I get a lot of Jasmin. I am lost on the "wood" part though because I don't get any woods.

Wood Jasmin opens with a juicy and sweet plum, jasmine with a medicinal touch. It's resinous, ambery. You get spicy sweet benzoin, labdanum.
