An ancestral batte
A fragrance that enhances one of my favorite notes: incense.
The opening is cold, pungent, icy, and then brings out an incense that is not ecclesiastical but which I would define as majestic, as if it were a giant to be contemplated, a magnificent knight clad in metallic armour. It almost seems like you can taste the ferrous taste in your mouth, almost bloody.
In my opinion, the use of ambergris amplifies all this scent which gradually subsides thanks to the woody background.
More than a fragrance, I would define it as an olfactory experience. It certainly makes itself felt and has an excellent persistence, but I consider it very intimate and personal to wear, for me during cold winter days or summer nights with the breeze that amplifies it even more. plus the aroma.
Truly wonderful.

Edward / Louis
This perfume is a story. A meeting. The kind you never forget.
The scent, metallic and fresh with a hint of jasmine, introduces a modern vampire — Twilight style: the dark, chiseled stranger. You feel slightly disappointed because, if you’re honest, you crave a touch of baroque drama.

But his manners are refined, his charm undeniable. You follow him. His home doesn’t match the sleek black shirt he wears. It feels… like a manor. You step inside and lose your breath: heavy drapes, towering bookshelves steeped in wood and paper, a fire crackling in an oversized hearth, and curtains so thick they erase the outside world.

The air is rich, opulent, mysterious. Incense coils in sacred swirls, but nothing feels religious—only intimate. And the worst part? It feels right. The vampire has changed. No longer Edward, but Louis de Pointe du Lac: elegant, long-haired, almost human. Too human, perhaps.

And you wonder: is he the one choosing you… or are you the one letting him?

Beautiful Incense
I’m currently on the hunt for a church/incense fragrance. This is incredibly smoky but fresh, dark but attractive, and so seductive. Every time I wear this, I feel like I’m being lured into an ancient castle by a vampire to become a bloody sacrifice. It’s haunting, the metallic note isn’t very pungent but god that incense is so beautiful.

Unfortunately the metallic notes don’t stay around for long. I’m assuming like citrus notes, the molecules are highly volatile and evaporate quickly from the skin, which could be why the metallic notes are listed in the top notes. The incense note is very photorealistic however which I love, it dries down with a little sweetness and is reminiscent of raw resins before being burnt.

It’s dark, hypnotic, yet hauntingly beautiful. I’d say it’s more of a vampiric scent than Van Py Rhum given the metallic and mineral notes. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle, maybe a travel-size, but it’s very pretty!

In the Footsteps of a Medieval Battle
I begin this review with a situation that one should imagine to better understand the progression of the fragrance:

We find ourselves in the Middle Ages, a time associated with great battles and castles. The image of a knight in shining armor with a sword immediately comes to mind. Here, I would like to begin the journey through this scent:

The top note describes the silence that prevails when two armies face each other. Resinous notes emerge, fresh from the coniferous forests nearby. Mineral notes join in directly, representing the stony terrain. The flowers are only a small part of the whole picture; they are found in the grassy landscape between the warriors.

The battle cry rings out. Everyone rushes into combat, swords clash, and the cries of the knights resound. A cloud of smoke also hangs over the battlefield, represented by the incense. Blood flows in streams across the land, spreading a metallic scent. Thus, the fragrance lingers for a long time.

After the battle, it becomes quiet in the valley. Woody notes take over. The scent comes to a gentle end. What remains, however, are the impressions of massive violence and brutality that do not easily fade away.

My personal impression:

I was looking for an incense fragrance that should in no way resemble the typical church incense. I tried several until I ultimately landed on this one. It stood out immediately from the others and convinced me with the metallic notes and the resins that quickly captured my attention.

For those seeking an extraordinary incense fragrance, this is certainly a good candidate.

Nosferatu on Caffeine
Since I started my perfume journey about 2 years ago, my taste has changed significantly. Over time, I have developed a love for dark, smoky scents and turned away from synthetic designer fragrances.
And what could be more beautiful for a lover of smoky scents than a wonderful incense fragrance? The feeling when you enter a cool, empty church and the scent of holy smoke rises to your nose is simply indescribably beautiful.
I set out to find the perfect incense fragrance and came across many wonderful scents: Arso by Profumum Roma, Reliqvia by Fillipo Sorcinelli. And then I found this one. "Bloody Smoke," I thought, "That sounds fantastic!"
My sample arrived a few days ago, and I have fallen in love.
The Parfumo community describes the scent as resinous, woody, smoky, and initially slightly citrusy.
For me, all of that is true, but one thing stands out clearly above everything else and dominates the entire scent progression. And that is clearly... Coca Cola.
At first, there is a very citrusy cola, and in the drydown, a fizzy, sour, and sweet cola. In the background, the beautiful woody incense resonates continuously. This combination is something I have never smelled before, and it truly blew me away.
It smells as if someone left a half-full cola bottle in the dusty, dark castle of Nosferatu.
This is real art and perfectly matches my taste. My search for the best incense fragrance is definitely complete with this.

Not typical churchy frankincense, instead much more herbal and, importantly, woody. Uninspiring performance. Reminds me of Darwish.

Initial bombastic blood orange burst, that after 15 minutes fades into a simplistic liturgic incense. Performance is average.

Initially cold and metallic citric-spicy, a warm and smoky Oriental spicy-resinous Winter fragrance, on a dry and dusty spicy-woody base.

Olibanum, elemi and myrrh, with a light metallic, floral, woody undertone. A resinous oriental, cold and slightly smoky.

At the start, you feel like you're a medieval wandering herbalist who treats vampirism in villages; all too soon, it becomes frankincense.

Standing on the stairs of a church as cool wind blows the scent of incense past your nose. It is not too strong yet distinguishable

Really nice if you like sweet, harmoniously tinted incense. Everything is quite gentle, a bit mineral and sandalwood-like. Pretty good.

There are harmonies and contrasts hidden in the scent that work together effortlessly. Cold mineral. Elemi, iron-rich-floral-smoky.
