Unfortunately not my cup of tea
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Egyptian Musk Parfum :-) In the end, I wasn't really happy with this scent, because it's not really on my wavelength. This is mainly due to the coffee-oud combo. The longevity is good at around 8 to 10 hours and I would also describe the sillage as good.
The top note starts very dark, tart and roasty-smoky with lots of coffee. It also smells delicately animalic like castoreum. The heart note remains coffee-like with a spicy undertone of carrot seeds and some ginger. There is also a hint of citrus. I definitely cannot detect any floral aromas here. In the base, the espresso blends with earthy, dark oud, patchouli, vetiver and balsamic sandalwood.
You really have to like coffee in perfumes to enjoy Egyptian Musk Parfum. It hasn't been my world (so far).
