I let myself be blinded by the opinions of others = a fatal mistake...!
Hello everyone,

I have tested several attars over the past few years, and I have only avoided you due to a certain opinion. EVERYONE is allowed to have their opinion, and that's perfectly fine - no question about it. The opinion of another and my opinion are relative, and what each person takes from the review and wants to use for themselves is also relative...

I have been saying for many years now, take what I say, for example, as a kind of inspiration so that you can "roughly" imagine what to expect. I give you a kind of "roadmap," but you really have to drive alone...
=
I hope you know what I mean.

In any case, I let myself be blinded and did not buy the fragrance due to an opinion xyz, and as it turned out, this was a MEEEEGA big mistake because the scent is damn beautiful!

On the other hand, I am also a big fan of the regular "Purple Rain (Pure Parfum) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent," but the price of nearly €55 per ml (currently) is quite far from that... and the attar suits me very well - why pay more later...!
_______

About the scent - what do we have here:

Before I get into certain things in a "usable" way = this is a small "masterpiece." I certainly don't use this word often, but here it can be applied.

The scent is warm, creamy, powdery, dark, very fruity (not unpleasant), and the mix of musk with the gentle non-animalistic oud creates a perfect + long-lasting structure.

There are really many scents from the house that come with a somewhat "rough" musk and/or oud punch, and you have to love and want that. I, on the other hand, prefer something more subtle and supportive...

That's why I would almost say - BEGINNER FRIENDLY and reasonably priced compared to the ABSURDLY expensive "Purple Rain (Pure Parfum) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent," really okay (almost inexpensive) and in my opinion also very economical!

Can I say something bad... NO!

Only - that he is, in my opinion, significantly too unknown and underrated....,
but that is, as with everything, very relative + subjective.

Longevity is very good+ and the sillage is really good in the first 2 hours, then becomes very "bubble-like" in the range of 1m!

How does it come across:

EOs usually do not go down well with the general public = this is because they are not made for "everyone," but they are artworks that want to be seen as such. That's why there is no EO that always comes across perfectly, BUT the "Purple Rain (Attar) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent" really goes down well in the colder season (basically from now on) with temperatures below 10°C outside!

When and where:

September to April.

In general...

He is and remains special and should be used as such, because otherwise, his MAGIC may fade very quickly, and using such an expensive fragrance almost daily = you can do that, but I advise against it, also financially...

Even my wife, who is a true HATER of real oud, finds it really very nice on the skin (and not on the sprayer)! That's why I recommend testing it on the skin and not just on the swiper/flacon head or on paper, because otherwise, it may be 2 different scents = trust me, Benny!

The dear money / the purchase price:

I am tired of discussing whether a purchase makes sense or not, as that is very relative, and my views may not be the same as yours and vice versa... From a purely commercial perspective (which I am, among other things), I can say = test it, then we'll see further!

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Unfortunately can't compete with the "Pure Parfum"
Many thanks to Nick for the decant of "Purple Rain Attar | Ensar Oud / Oriscent" :-) After being convinced by the "Purple Rain (Pure Parfum) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent" for the first time today, I must unfortunately say that the Attar cannot compete olfactorily, although the longevity is well over 12 hours and the sillage is significantly stronger.

The top note smells quite decent and sweet-sticky like dried plums, licorice, and plantain syrup. I miss the cola aroma here. The heart note still smells of blue lotus flowers, iris, and violets, dark and oriental. In the base, oud and musk provide a much more pronounced animalic and resinous quality here. Unfortunately, it also smells quite earthy, mossy, and musty over time. Labdanum again adds a stickiness with a bit of honey and balsam.

Unfortunately, in the end, I am not so taken with this because I miss that special and indefinable note from the Pure Parfum.

Didn’t like "Iris Ghalia (Parfum) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent" early in my journey and neglected Purple Rain because of it, but WOW, this is good

Gorgeous scent, full of darkened florals. Definitely has a "purple" feel to it. Good longevity but fairly minimal sillage and projection.
