the only correct answer to this is: YES! Boy, I have no idea what the design department was thinking. No wonder nobody wants to test the fragrance...
Why do they print some kind of 3D ultrasound image on it? Super creepy.
anyway, the fragrance (I could probably go on for pages about this bottle)
pretty unisex, leaning towards masculine. It has a random fresh shower gel note right at the beginning, which is why I immediately discarded it, but after 10/15 minutes it changes really nicely. Before I saw the notes, I would have said there was lavender in it, but I think it's the mugwort I smell - and it also gives off that "aquatic" vibe at the beginning.
but together with the balsam and patchouli, it dries down nicely and the next day on my clothes I'm left with an absolute feel-good fragrance.
but my God, this bottle eh....

The points are only half the truth....

If I had to make a car comparison, the Embrace would be a Toyota Yaris. Not particularly exciting, not absolute top class in any area. Inexpensive, relaxed and relaxing.

You don't buy something like that as a teenager or as a victim of a midlife crisis who wants to prove something to everyone again. You buy a Dodge Charger or Sauvage Elixir because you think they're "pantydroppers".

Not so the Yaris / Embrace :

You can do your laps without a care in the world. Satisfied, relaxed, enjoyable and affordable.

So don't believe the scores in car magazines - or mine here. 7.5 points are objectively appropriate for the fragrance, but do not convey the whole truth. It is not a stroke of genius, has no wow factor - and yet is so much more than the sum of its parts.

The fragrance itself: you don't smell much at first. A vague sweetness with a slight freshness. Somehow indefinable. But that's just the warm-up phase. From here, Embrace trots along very comfortably but inexorably and you get the feeling that the fragrance is doubling every minute and becoming more, warmer.

Frankincense and the freshness and warmth of the fir balsam harmonize perfectly. Ambergris and benzoin and perhaps also the ginger (which I don't perceive as an independent fragrance, but perhaps it is simply so well integrated into the overall spiciness) create a warm, spicy bed on which all this rests and is well fixed.

Very, very beautiful and not elegant - but cozy, friendly, relaxed. Not sacred at all.

- For those who know it: I see a slight relationship here in the drydown to Habdan, with which Embrace shares the incense note. However, Embrace transforms the freshness that characterizes Habdan into warmth.

All in all, it is a fragrance that you don't really smell "full on", but you do notice it permanently. Like an aura.
Longevity and sillage are ok, the price is absolutely top class given the fragrance profile and the quality on offer here. - I find the bottle a haptic insult and terribly ugly. A matter of taste.
