I stand in late spring in the...
… kitchen in the countryside. I have my door open to the vegetable/herb garden. I just came from the garden where I picked some herbs and am now cutting them or have crushed them in the mortar. The whole room is filled with the scent of spices and faintly reminds me of magic with the smell of wood in the kitchen. Something different. It is super beautifully relaxing and makes me hungry.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits the nose is a herbal, calming scent that merges with green woody accords. Soon, an earthy, smoky twist mixes in. It is undeniably unisex and mature.

The longevity and sillage are very good.

Here we have a fragrance that the gods will likely argue over. Personally, I find it nicely spicy and believe it can be worn by both ladies and gentlemen, and that from around twenty-five and up. Except on very hot days, I would say it is always wearable. During the day, it can be worn in the office, at a meeting, during a meal, in a café, or while shopping, just as well as in the evening at the theater, in a bar, in a club, on a date, or at a party.

Anyone who enjoys wearing a herbal, calming, green, woody, earthy, smoky, adult, non-everyday fragrance will feel right at home here.

Spicy Fresh Lavender Earthling
How great is THIS! That was my first thought when I first sprayed it. I had never smelled such a truly nature-powered fellow in this fragrance category (woody-spicy). What has come under my nose is so contemplative and calming that it will now become my "evening scent." And in spring, it will also often be a "work scent"!
As a gardener, I am almost outside all day anyway, enjoying the most wonderful scents from the blossoms of various flowers and shrubs, trees and grasses, fresh earth... and... and... and, Kythnos does not cover these scents. Rather, it inspires even more attention to the olfactory diversity. How do specific herbs smell... leaves, grasses, roots?
The precise sniffing trains the nose even better and gives the soul, the mind, and the intellect cause for gratitude for the unfathomable variety of pleasant aromas.
The only reason for "wrinkling my nose" are wafts of jasmine or lilies that threaten to give me a headache.
The scent of Kythnos has something very cheerful and serene about it, while it develops a fragrance profile with a life of its own. The wonderfully herbal-floral lavender blossoms, the spicy-green thyme, the "grounding" vetiver, and the deeply relaxing patchouli come together to create a "fluorescent" mélange. Truly delightful-wonderful!

Lavender in its Most Beautiful Form
What a beautiful lavender scent Kythnos is!

Lavender is beautifully underscored by the ethereal-fresh thyme. The fragrance is largely dry and unsweet, ethereal, and refreshingly cool. One simply wants to inhale it continuously and perceives the scent very well at first.

The closest comparison is "Platinum Egoiste" by Chanel, not in the section where "Egoiste" smells like the average, dull-sweet "Allure" sludge (which it does for a very long time for my nose), but in the section (more like the second half of the progression) where the scent suddenly reveals an unsweet, masculine lavender.

So the "Kythnos" lavender is less sharply masculine and more unisex than that in "Platinum Egoiste." It also has this wonderfully cooling and airy thyme on its side.

The only downside is a rather average longevity of the scent and a lower sillage compared to "Platinum Egoiste." Nevertheless, this beautiful fragrance inevitably makes its way onto my wish list.

Lavender bomb with thyme and bergamot adding freshness on a smoky-rubbery vetiver base. Dry and profoundly masculine. Excellent performance.

Many unlisted notes starting with a bright bergamot, surely no coincidence with the Greek name, this is a relation of Terre d'Hermes! Bravo

Lovage, curry herb, thyme as a protective charm.
Cool spectral lavender escapes.
Subtle spirit summoning for in between. *

Herb-green lavender, shaped a bit ruggedly by vetiver, grounded with patchouli. Uncomplicated, straightforward, just right.

Celery and thyme float in a dark soup. Lavender barely there.
Kitchen spices to spray on.
Rough and uncharming.
Wash off. Kitchen!

Thyme, celery, herbs, vetiver simmer in the pot. As a room spray in a place focused on "Mediterranean stews," it's okay.

Picking herbs for the kitchen in the garden, especially thyme + lovage, just leaves from the lavender. Herbal, dry, unsweet, grassy. Not for me.

Herb power! Intensely herbal-earthy. Lavender and thyme, fresh-bitter, a bit dark. More masculine. Lovely.
