Majestic Amber Pana Dora 2024

I ordered a discovery set from Pana Dora and fell in love with this fragrance immediately.

Leather, woody, "forest-like," subtly sweetened, all components play together in a harmonious accord, nothing screams louder than the others (not even saffron, for once :) - so truly royal, and thus the fragrance lives up to its name.

For me, it is an effective scent for business occasions on cold days, most fitting in winter, paired with a white blouse and elegant cardigan.

Speaking of majesty - heavy is the head that wears the crown and this fragrance may not be the best of the brand, but it is by far the toughest - and that makes a king, right?

The scent starts off intensely with a spicy blend of saffron and nutmeg, then becomes even stronger, almost on the verge of being too strong (there's no such thing as too strong). Leather joins in, which then takes over and I think forms a pleasant undertone with the vanilla. The fragrance then (thankfully) softens after 7-8 hours, but still retains that woody leather accord that makes the scent so special.
It smells to me like the niche of the niche. Such a brutal fragrance only comes once!

Hail to the King!

Anyone who looks at my collection will immediately recognize that the Dude is a Pana Dora fan. Yes, I am. But why?
First of all, with every Pana Dora and also with "Majestic Amber | Pana Dora," you get a high-quality bottle featuring the stag's head, which also looks great in the display case.
Secondly, the atomizer is also very carefully chosen. Perfect spray mist.
Thirdly, you can be sure that the fragrance accords are very well balanced and also of high quality.
But this is not about the brand but about the scent, and this leather has a lot to offer.
At first, upon opening, a very nice light powdery iris comes through, an iris that you have never smelled in such a combination before. That's perfect.
The spicy accords are supported by saffron and nutmeg and linger until the dry down. The orange blossom gives the fragrance a constant powderiness, and the amber is not typically sweet but rather amber wood, so it has a woodier accord. I do not perceive the vanilla, and the leather is more of a suede.
The whole composition is orchestrated like a symphony and lasts incredibly long without being intrusive or like a
heavy sweet gourmand.
I actually see the fragrance as easily unisex but leaning more towards masculine, and suitable from age 25.
Lastly, it should be mentioned that Majestic Amber is one of the special leather fragrances that stands alone and resembles none that I know of.
So test this one here, and you won't regret it, but please don't use a paper strip. This majestic leather needs skin to develop.

Majestic Amber is a wonderfully crafted leather fragrance. I had the opportunity to test it in a small perfumery in Stuttgart and was immediately very impressed. It perfectly embodies the brand's image by revealing many facets. It starts off very spicy, with an oriental touch, then gradually transitions into a powdery-floral direction, and before you know it, it becomes a really great sweet-spicy leather scent. On me, it lasted about 18 hours on the skin. This shows that despite a certain sensuality, it is very polarizing and can be perceived very well in the air.

Right from the start, the iris grabs you immediately. I am an absolute fan of iris fragrances in men's or unisex perfumes - even though I initially had no idea what iris actually smells like until the connections became clear at some point.

The scent begins with a strong, bright, and powdery cold iris. Paired with pink pepper and a similarly powdery sweet violet, it gains a hint of sweetness.
However, it is absolutely not a sweet opening. I think the violet is meant to create some space with its light sweetness without overshadowing the powdery note.

The opening is truly majestic. It invites you in like a grand, old hunting lodge that opens its heavy doors and lets you step in from the cold, snow-covered forest.

Once you step inside, the warm heart note unfolds: orange blossom for sweetness, amberwood, pine resin, tuberose, and amber. However, to ensure that it doesn’t become too sweet or too heavy, a generous portion of cashmere wood is added, which continues to bring that powdery tone and softens the warm, dense notes a bit. I personally don’t perceive the tuberose very strongly.

The fragrance concludes with deep vanilla, leather, dry woods, and papyrus.
Here too, there is an enveloping, warming vanilla that is tempered by the leather and dry woods, preventing any sticky sweetness from developing. Instead, a powdery-dry, noble impression remains.

An absolute winter banger.
All in all: warming, slightly sweet, but in a powdery-dry way. Not heavy and sticky, but majestic and opulent.
