Dux Orientis Pana Dora 2024

Here I have a problem with my nose for the first time after smelling lots of fragrances and with a huge collection …this fragrance make me very confused!I find this fragrance very weak !First spray make me to like it a lot but that beauty don’t last long because after a hour or so it’s hard to smell it and I try this for 2 days wearing it trying to give him a chance but nothing change in my nose this will remaining a scentless fragrance from my collection , it’s there but only in a very small bubble I will give him more time but…I guess this is the end for my nose

First of all, I am a huge Pana Dora fan, both of the scent and the performance! I wanted so much to like Dux Orients, as the notes sounded incredibly exciting and the bottle stood out from the already beautiful Pana Dora bottles. Additionally, I am not a big fan of owning the same scents as everyone else from a brand.

Now to the scent itself, at first I smelled it in the bottle and wow! Incredibly unique with an undefinable yet natural fruity note that I have never smelled before. Along with that came a very strong oriental-spicy note, which did not come across as forced like with many others, but rather blended perfectly into the overall picture. I was truly blown away by my "special" find until I sprayed it on my skin and T-shirt for the first time; directly two sprays because it can't hurt... or can it?

What seemed like a balanced mixture in the bottle turned into a horror trip on my skin! The base nuances were still perceptible, but an extremely piercing note joined in. Honestly, I don't know if it's the seaweed or the spikenard, or some other note. What I do know is that the wonderfully balanced scent developed into a piercing direction, which unfortunately remained even in the dry-down.

When I got home again, I wanted to get rid of the scent as quickly as possible and washed my hands thoroughly several times. After that, I finally didn't smell it as strongly... After two hours, my girlfriend came back and immediately complained about the extreme smell (she asked me if I had once again oversprayed one of my perfumes).

What can be concluded from this: The package insert with the warning notices was unfortunately missing!

The sillage is incredible and I still smelled the scent on my skin and especially on my T-shirt even 18 hours later.

Personally, I think Dux Orients will definitely appeal to some, and if you are one of them, in my opinion, you have hit the jackpot with this scent, as such a performance is not often found! Moreover, the scent is also an absolute signature, so you can be sure to always stand out from the crowd.

I first ordered the fragrance as a sample and tested it on my skin and clothes. With the first spray, I wasn't quite sure which direction it was going to take. After about an hour, the scent settled beautifully. Light fruity notes that are present until the end, salty-aquatic, and slightly animalistic. I really liked the combination.
With this fragrance, I received my first compliment,
which forced me to order the full bottle.
I went shopping the same day, and it was a warm summer day.
As I left the store and was on my way to return the shopping cart, a nice lady walked up behind me and these were her words: Excuse me, I didn't mean to startle you. You smell so wonderful, may I ask what fragrance you are wearing?
I couldn't help but grin and smelled my wrist again while I tried to remember the name, as it suddenly slipped my mind....
That's Dux Orientis by Pana Dora, I said, and thanked her warmly for the compliment.
The price is a bit steep, but the fragrance and bottle are a 10/10 for me. Absolutely recommended.

I find Dux Orientis to be totally exciting and interesting.
The scent has great fruity vibes. The fruity notes come across in a completely different way. They are tinged with oriental nuances and, with the Oud in the background, take on a slightly animalistic twist.
I don’t find that unpleasant at all, but rather exciting and well-crafted.

The fragrance starts off directly with these fruity hints from a predominantly sweet melon and mandarin. The bergamot slightly balances the sweetness and adds a subtle bitter, fresh twist.

Somehow, you can immediately sense that these are not ordinary fruity impressions. You can tell that something else is involved here, giving the scent certain edges and contours.
In my opinion, the Oud accord provides that special something. The Oud elevates the fruits in a unique way.
It has a slightly animalistic quality. Perhaps the description "just a bit sweaty" fits quite well.

A few floral notes also come into play over time.
Fruity impressions remain, but they now seem a bit more subdued. I also like this seaweed twist that unexpectedly comes into the mix. Suddenly, the fragrance takes on almost "aquatic" traits again. It all sounds totally crazy, but somehow it really smells good. As I said, I find it truly exciting and inventive. It’s something different!

Towards the end, you can definitely feel the Ambroxan.
As well as this seaweed note continuing to be noticeably active in the final phase. Here, I can somewhat understand the comparisons to a Megamare.

All in all, I really like the fragrance.
The performance is also really good. The scent lasts about nine hours on me, and the projection is not bad either.
