Decent sweet, floral, spicy, woody mix
Dua’s New Year 2025 is an original blend released late last year as part of the main collection and described as a special, possibly limited release. Categorized as an oriental floral, it features a prominent sweet floral blend of caramel, vanilla, and heliotrope, anchored by cedar and black pepper, landing a bit more toward the gourmand side than I had initially expected based on the description and note breakdown. Overall, though, it’s elegant, fairly strong, and becomes predictably a little less sharp and smoother during the dry down, in which there’s an ease of wearing. Arguably it’s not too sweet to be fully gourmand nor too floral to be especially feminine, and it performs quite well.
It’s priced at $60 for 30ml, roughly the standard pricing of the main collection (in other words, not Dua Designer Line or Vaulted).
