Pleasant Clean Musk, Not Groundbreaking
True to its name, ML12 is a (mostly) pleasant freshie w/ a clean musk at the beginning, middle and end. The freesia is delicate, adding to the freshly laundered hotel’s white towels kinda smell. I dig that.
I enjoy this on a paper strip, and I can see folks why folks would like it too. I haven’t smelled the original (Kayali’s Musk 12) because it’s never at my local Sephora. I can’t say how comparable the dupe and original are.
I can say that while this is inoffensive on a paper strip test, there are other freshies that give more bang for your buck in terms of scent quality and ml per dollar amount. For instance, I think Lataffa’s Rouat Al Musk is a better deal and a better scent quality compared to Musky Lotus 12. Dua comes in 30 ml bottles.
My vote is to always sample, especially musk scents, on your skin before purchasing a full bottle.
