The olfactory experience orchestrates a fascinating liveliness from the very first moment. The top note captivates with a very balanced interplay of deep, ripe blackberries, the exotic, zesty acidity of passion fruit, and the velvety sweetness of peach.
This opulent fruit accord is elevated by a subtle, almost ethereal aldehyde freshness. It acts like a gentle, cool spring breeze, giving the fruits an unexpected lightness and radiant clarity.
A profound, luxurious leather note subtly resonates in the background from the start. It immediately lends an elegant, mature depth to the fruity opening.

Once the initial zesty nuances settle, the perfume reveals its true potential. The heart note unveils a fascinating metamorphosis.
A gentle, meditative hint of incense weaves through the composition, laying a mysterious, slightly smoky veil over the proceedings. This mystical element merges perfectly with the floral accents:
A very subtle, noble rose brings a classic romance, while the elegant violet contributes a powdery structure.
The interplay feels immensely luxurious and captivating.

How do I start and where do I end?
First, a little clarification on what the Accord Collection is. (Source: TSoD Customer Service) The Accord Collection combines oriental and French accords and is designed more for daily use with a longevity of 6-8 hours.
What TSoD wrote to me, I can confirm as well. The Haibah Oriental is indeed a subtle scent that lasts only 6 hours. It is not meant to do more, and it is not supposed to be loud. Those expecting something more present will unfortunately be disappointed. Despite the many accords, the fragrance has no power, but it has something magical. Yes, it is magical, and so far, no fragrance in my collection has made me feel the constant urge of "I need to smell it." It’s like a drug, but in a positive way. I really enjoy wearing it in the evenings and feel that it has a calming effect. Yep, like valerian.
But why?
Well, I don't know exactly, and it took me a while to understand the scent. I admit, it was a blind buy that I initially regretted but have come to appreciate. I spent every day trying to understand this fragrance, and at first, I was disappointed because I expected power, but now I will explain what I find so special about it.
First, the packaging of The Spirit of Dubai is always something special. It is of the highest quality. Here you definitely get something for your display case. The bottle is heavy with a magnetic cap, and the sprayer is just fantastic. It produces the finest mist that comes out of the bottle. Just that alone is worth a 10.
But how is the scent?
It starts fruity but actually subtly fruity. I would lean more towards blackberry than the other fruits. The aldehydes give the fragrance a soapy quality, and that is exactly what makes the scent so clean. It smells like fresh laundry and an expensive soap. In the dry down, it becomes a bit smokier and a bit rougher. But not too overpowering. Perfectly balanced. You can slightly sense the vanilla, but amber is unfortunately completely absent.
It doesn't have many facets. It is not designed for that. It is meant to be a daily scent and give you a clean feeling, and it does that very well.
In my eyes, the fragrance is the epitome of unisex scents. It is neither masculine nor feminine.
If you have read this far, I can only urge you to test it, but not just for 1 day. No, you need days to understand this scent.
