Dubai - Abraj (Eau de Parfum) | The Spirit of Dubai" is one of the SoDs that is rarely talked about. But it is also not easy to emerge from the shadow of so many grandiose fragrances that the house delivers. Nevertheless, this fragrance definitely deserves more attention because, despite its oriental origins, it has a very European feel and is finally suitable for the office!
How do I perceive
Dubai - Abraj Eau de Parfum and why might it be worth buying?
- Well, the fragrance has a terrific opening; vintage-like yes, but multi-layered. In addition to the fresh bergamot, there are numerous secondary players; a little spice, a little green, citrusy bitterness from the petitgrain, and yes, together with the other notes, a noble touch of vintage freshness comes across (pine is also clearly perceptible at times). This blends in a next phase with a little rose and various floral notes, but all very subtle, the spicy-green freshness remains the main protagonist.
- It is only in the drydown that a woody-creamy impact appears, which does not completely take away this freshness, but simply complements it brilliantly. This mossy nuance is also beautifully incorporated in the drydown, which never allows this green undertone to fade completely and maintains the general freshness and professionalism. Please do not be alarmed by the cypriol and oud, these are extremely decimated in the background, carry the fragrance, but are not perceptible as such, especially not for untrained noses; you would not even notice it as an untrained person if you did not know it. A beautiful harmonious DD with a nice oriental touch, but not too much, so that this fragrance is effectively suitable for everyday use all year round.
- The longevity and sillage are both top for the type of DNA, I can't really complain, the fragrance radiates for several hours and lasts a long time.
To summarize,
Dubai - Abraj Eau de Parfum is effectively an ingenious everyday fragrance for the office and a thousand other situations, which at the same time has a European touch but never forgets its oriental roots. If you want a bit of vintage freshness and would like to try a slightly more complex freshie, this is the right fragrance for you.
