The little one from back then, which is quite big today!
Everyone knows the one person who wore ugly glasses in childhood, was often the outsider. 20 years later, it happens to everyone. WOW who is that? That's not the Brilen snake - but that's exactly HE/HE!!! Mouth again to swallow once and there one begins to ask himself how was possible, from UII -HUI! That's exactly how it was with this scent. He starts off pretty stinging to me, not mine at all. Over time, it becomes soft in its own way but still strong and fresh - great!

old school freshness to start and then soul warmers
To begin with, the Abraj is a fresh summer companion with old-school vibes!

It starts citrusy and spicy with bergamot, petitgrain, cardamom and lavender. The lavender in particular provides a good dose of old money vibes before the fragrance then drifts quietly and thoughtfully into creaminess. Here it reminds me a little of Renaissance by Xerjoff.

A good fragrance that is also definitely suitable for the office.

H/S are very good for a summer fragrance.

Dubai Abraj - Olfactory interpolation
Three different bottles tried, three different fragrances explored.
On the one hand:
Very rich and interwoven and, for me, reminiscent of Creed Green Irish Tweed or Acqua di Parma Quercia. With a perceptibility of the fragrance over many hours.
And on the other side:
Extremely flat, with only a brief freshness and an almost direct transition to woody notes. Topped off with a lasting few hours.
And the third attempt in the group?
Right in between!

Now you could take a mathematical approach and say the extreme values have been found and further attempts are in between, but I'd rather leave out the solution to this equation...
Accordingly, I also prefer to leave out the evaluation. Too many variables and too few constants to be able to give a serious assessment.

Spirit of Dubai in "office-safe"? Yep, it's possible with Abraj! Vintage freshness with depth!
Dubai - Abraj (Eau de Parfum) | The Spirit of Dubai" is one of the SoDs that is rarely talked about. But it is also not easy to emerge from the shadow of so many grandiose fragrances that the house delivers. Nevertheless, this fragrance definitely deserves more attention because, despite its oriental origins, it has a very European feel and is finally suitable for the office!

How do I perceive Dubai - Abraj Eau de Parfum and why might it be worth buying?
- Well, the fragrance has a terrific opening; vintage-like yes, but multi-layered. In addition to the fresh bergamot, there are numerous secondary players; a little spice, a little green, citrusy bitterness from the petitgrain, and yes, together with the other notes, a noble touch of vintage freshness comes across (pine is also clearly perceptible at times). This blends in a next phase with a little rose and various floral notes, but all very subtle, the spicy-green freshness remains the main protagonist.

- It is only in the drydown that a woody-creamy impact appears, which does not completely take away this freshness, but simply complements it brilliantly. This mossy nuance is also beautifully incorporated in the drydown, which never allows this green undertone to fade completely and maintains the general freshness and professionalism. Please do not be alarmed by the cypriol and oud, these are extremely decimated in the background, carry the fragrance, but are not perceptible as such, especially not for untrained noses; you would not even notice it as an untrained person if you did not know it. A beautiful harmonious DD with a nice oriental touch, but not too much, so that this fragrance is effectively suitable for everyday use all year round.

- The longevity and sillage are both top for the type of DNA, I can't really complain, the fragrance radiates for several hours and lasts a long time.

To summarize, Dubai - Abraj Eau de Parfum is effectively an ingenious everyday fragrance for the office and a thousand other situations, which at the same time has a European touch but never forgets its oriental roots. If you want a bit of vintage freshness and would like to try a slightly more complex freshie, this is the right fragrance for you.

Seductive timeless elegance - "Don't I know you from somewhere?"
The fragrances of The Spirit of Dubai
have something magical about them
like this fragrance.

It transports me to my past
triggers déjà vus.memories from my childhood
emerge, ones that I had almost forgotten.
"Don't I know you from somewhere?"
And although I am sure that these fragrances didn't exist back then,
i know: that's exactly the reason.

Abraj is incredibly seductive
and elegant.rose dominates
and although I am not a great lover of roses,
the Spirit of Dubai manages to make me love her rose

High quality, finely balanced.

a perfect balance of spice and sweetness,
of naturalness and elegance
woody and floral,
citrusy and aromatic at the same time.
The opening: incredibly beautifully done.
The drydown: long-lasting, cuddly.

A fresh citric opening with saffron, cardamom, patchouli and a hint of leather. In the drydown, a fresh rose, a soft oud and some vanilla.

After an uplifting spicy-citric opening, this clean and dry, spicy floral-woody Spring fragrance, settles to a smooth earthy-woody base.

Interesting and multi-layered. To me, it’s almost aquatic, going in the direction of AdG Essenza with a spicy twist, especially on the skin.

This stuff is awesome, I truly don’t understand the low scores. And for the price, I’d say it’s worth every penny.

Opens fresh with some aldehydes, florals & mild sweetness. Dries spicy (elemi?) w/ florals and mild patchouli. Has a mature feminine feel.
