The magic of a timeless all-rounder
In 1988, Dior launched the now legendary "Fahrenheit (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" on the perfume market. A fragrance that is still polarizing today and was almost revolutionary at the time. In all those years, the two of us never became real "friends" and I never gave the "legend" the attention it deserved. Probably due to my age, I simply didn't find the EdT suitable at the time.

A whole 26 years passed before "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior", which I loved so much, was released in 2014. None other than Dior's house perfumer François Demachy was chosen to create a worthy successor, the logical upgrade, for the perfume world!

A glance at the list of François Demachy's perfumes always leaves me in awe. And so many of his fragrances have ended up in my perfume wardrobe. It just matches. His fragrances hit my senses and I just feel completely at ease when I wear them. "He didn't want to create a caricature of Fahrenheit, which is already a very self-confident composition. Rather, he kept its original structure and added elements that enrich its history and emphasize its atypical personality," says the original quote from François Demachy.

And that's how I feel every time I put on "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior". I wear this fragrance over and over again, especially in the fall/winter season, to trigger these very special feelings in me. Only a few fragrances manage to take me back to my best times. "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior" is undoubtedly one of these fragrances!

Well then - here it is in front of me. A bottle with a flowing, simple shape. Even today, in 2024, I find it extremely modern. Incidentally, the Fahrenheit bottle is the result of an industrial innovation. The unusual coloring, which in my opinion matches the fragrance itself extremely well, was probably the result of an error when cooling the glass in the furnaces of the glassmaking workshops in Saint-Gobain. A special furnace was later designed and built for the production process so that this particular cooling process could be reproduced permanently.

Let's now move on to the first impression: a high-quality glass flacon is revealed as soon as you remove it from the absolutely harmonious outer packaging. The shape and the high-quality glass of the bottle are very appealing. The lid is magnetic, but still has to be gently pressed down to close it as the sprayer is not made of metal parts. The sprayer is excellent like Dior and distributes the fine "fire water" superbly.

"Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior" is a deeper and more complex interpretation of the original Fahrenheit EdT. The fragrance has an incredibly great spiciness. Lavender, violet and a myriad of spicy fragrances harmonize in absolute harmony. The leather accord that I never really liked in "Fahrenheit (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" is nowhere to be found in "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior". And that's a good thing! Sidenote: I smell strong "big red chewing gum vibes" when wearing "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior". Something slightly cinnamony - although cinnamon is not listed. And it is precisely this additional component that always makes me melt away when I wear the fragrance, and the reactions to this fragrance are consistently positive. I am constantly being asked about it, especially by women. My personal hairdresser, for example, is blown away every time she smells the fragrance on me.

In terms of durability, you will certainly not be disappointed with "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior", because the H/S is above average, no...it is outstanding! The fragrance is a true marathon runner - it easily lasts 8-10 hours on my skin and can still be detected on clothing for days.

in my opinion, "Fahrenheit Parfum | Dior" has a strong projection, which means that the fragrance can be perceived for many hours in a reasonable radius without being too dominant. However, the fragrance can also be quickly oversprayed due to its fantastic sillage. So if you have never worn it before, you should start with a maximum of 4-5 sprays so as not to overwhelm your surroundings!

Conclusion: Both thumbs up! This fragrance is more than successful and worth every penny. I simply cannot imagine my perfume wardrobe without it. For me, the fragrance is great cinema and a true masterpiece - Thank you François Demachy ! Thank you for allowing me to experience so much positive energy and childhood memories/feelings through this fragrance.

If you don't know or haven't tested the fragrance yet - I can really recommend it to you with a clear conscience. Not only in fall/winter but also on cooler spring evenings, the fragrance is an absolute dream and super wearable! And it works all year round for a chilled Netflix evening!

The magic of a molecular fragrance
Summer was coming to an end and the days were slowly getting shorter and cooler. So I thought it was time for a few new fragrances for the cold season. My first port of call, as so often, was this wonderful Parfumo community! And while I was working my way through the countless great and informative threads in the forum, the "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" was mentioned again and again. Hmmm...I thought to myself, a synthetic woody fragrance? Sounds interesting and the fragrance notes were promising.

So I initially ordered a bottle of this rather expensive fragrance. Greetings go out at this point to user TheScenter, who wrote to me directly and offered me a 5ml sample.

What can I say - it was love at first sniff! And so it happened that I was able to get hold of the small 27ml bottle of "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" here in the souk. Greetings to Hanismells go out as well :)

Well then - here it is in front of me. This beautiful, minimalist black bottle from 27 87 Perfumes. "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" was released in 2018 - but the big breakthrough has yet to come.

27 87 Perfumes is a perfume brand that specializes in the creation of unique and high-quality fragrances. The brand originates from Barcelona and was founded by perfumer Romy Kowalewski. The name "27 87" refers to the geographical coordinates of Formentera, an island in the Balearic Islands, which Romy Kowalewski uses as a source of inspiration for her fragrances.

To my knowledge, "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" is the only pure molecule fragrance in their small perfume collection. The latest masterpiece from 2787 Perfumes. The olfactory interpretation of uniqueness, captured in a hypermodern fragrance statement. It is the fragrance that stands out from the crowd. The eccentric. The "black sheep" in the 27 87 family. Because all the flacons released to date have always been white.

Perfumer Jordi Fernández has created many a fragrance and his most famous ones are "Haltane | Parfums de Marly" and "Explorer | Montblanc". In 2018, he created this wonderful molecular fragrance called "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" !

Let's now move on to the first impression: as soon as you take it out of the rather inappropriate outer packaging, you see an elegant black glass bottle. The simple and elegant design and the elegantly printed bottle label make an impression. The shape and the high-quality glass make this bottle in the 27 ml version a real hand flatterer. It doesn't even matter that the lid is made of plastic. The lid runs so smoothly over the spray head that you can immediately see the high quality of the workmanship. I enjoy using this bottle every time! The sprayer is excellent and distributes the fine water superbly.

"Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" is a linear molecular fragrance composed of 5 different synthetic wood molecules. That`s it - simple stuff! Immediately after spraying it on, it starts - but unlike all non-molecule fragrances. "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" does not dazzle the customer with a tangy, citrusy note. Here, you get the full spectrum of the fragrance straight away! A gentle, soft woodiness spreads immediately. The way in which these 5 molecules are harmonized is masterful. This is closely followed by a light soapiness and creamy, fresh elegance. The fragrance is so simple and yet so difficult to describe - the best I can say is that it is a sensual, feel-good fragrance. This fragrance is extremely pleasant to be around. "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" scores with five exclusive molecules that emphasize its own unique scent, with elegant and comfortable woody notes!

In terms of longevity, the "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" will certainly not disappoint, as the H/S is above average! The fragrance is a real marathon runner - easily lasts 8-10 hours on my skin and can still be detected on clothing for days.

The "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes" has a moderate to strong projection, which means that the fragrance can be perceived for many hours in a reasonable radius without being too dominant. Even if you have sprayed too much, you will not be disgusted by your surroundings. Rather, it casts a spell over those around you.

Conclusion: Both thumbs up! This fragrance is more than successful and worth every penny. Why it never made the big breakthrough in the perfume scene remains a mystery to me. For me, the fragrance is great cinema!

The magic of a wild fragrance
A fragrance that seems to polarize, and yet, or precisely because of this, it is a fragrance that has cast a magical spell over me from the very beginning. A fragrance that does something to me, triggers something in me. A fragrance that I liked from the very first spray. Long known: Our olfactory system is closely linked to parts of the brain that are responsible for emotions and memories. This is why certain scents can evoke strong feelings or memories. There is no doubt about it - this scent causes these emotions in me. Even though this fragrance didn't exist 35-40 years ago, Sauvage EdP is able to transport me back in time. I can't describe the feeling in words, but it's definitely there every time I spray it on. Everyone perceives scents a little differently. And although I've been exposed to this scent over and over again for a long time, the intensity of the perception of this scent doesn't diminish - no olfactory fatigue so far!

Well - here it is in front of me. The bottle of "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" - the big brother of the EdT - the DIOR Sauvage that has grown up! "Sauvage (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" is a popular fragrance from the house of Christian Dior. It was launched in 2015 and has been a bestseller in many countries around the world ever since. The name Sauvage means "wild" in French, which fits the character of this fragrance very well.

François Demachy, the perfumer of Dior, created "Sauvage (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" He has stated that he was inspired by wild, open spaces when creating the fragrance; an azure blue sky stretching over a rocky landscape so hot and dry that it forces every drop of water. The fragrance is his vision of a fresh, raw scent that is both refined and powerful.

"Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" is a newer version of the original "Sauvage (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" by Christian Dior and was released in 2018.

Let's now move on to the first impression: as soon as the attentive end consumer removes the fragrance from the very attractive outer packaging, they notice what a high-quality bottle they are holding in their hands. Everything is just right here and the bottle is a smooth 10/10 in my opinion! The simple and elegant design as well as the dark color gradient fit this wild fragrance like a glove! The shape and the very high-quality thick glass make this bottle in the 60ml version a real hand flatterer. The magnetic closure and the excellent spray head round off this very good impression. It is a pleasure to use this bottle !

"Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" is a deeper and more complex interpretation of the original Sauvage EdT. Reactions to this fragrance are overwhelmingly positive, although, like all fragrances, it is perceived subjectively. Contrary to some other opinions, I still find the fragrance very pleasant, absolutely modern and wearable.

The "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" retains many of the fresh and spicy notes of the original EdT, but adds additional depth and warmth. From the very first spray, the fragrance begins to unfold with a tangy bergamot note, closely followed by a delicate hint of lavender. At the heart of the fragrance, spicy notes and a distinct vanilla note come together, lending the fragrance a certain warmth and sweetness. Ambroxan, one of the main components of the original, remains present in the EdP and creates a modern, almost metallic undertone for me. I personally really like this ambroxan, which some people find annoying.

In terms of longevity, "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" will certainly not disappoint, because it is above average! The fragrance is a marathon runner - easily lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. No wonder - the "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" has a higher concentration of fragrance oils than the EdT, which inevitably leads to a longer fragrance duration. If I compare the EdP with the EdT (which I did again before this review), I come to the conclusion that my EdT cannot keep up in terms of H/S.

In my opinion, the "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" has a moderate to strong projection, which means that the fragrance can be perceived for many hours in a reasonable radius without being too dominant. But be careful - the user can also quickly over-spray this fragrance and then the ambroxan can become a problem for those around you. Dosed correctly, "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" turns out to be a real compliment magnet!

Conclusion: Both thumbs up! This fragrance is more than successful and worth every penny. A highlight among the designers. If you only know the EdT so far, you should definitely try it. In any case, I can no longer imagine my fragrance collection without it and it will probably stay for quite a while.
