Cheapies / Mid-Priced Fragrances that are unusual ?
Tea Rose Eau de Toilette most natural rose I ever smelled, but a shaggy wild rose, not one from the garden. Including leaves, thorns and roots and all the green stuff around it.
Thalasso Therapy a Cheapie alternative to
Acqua di Sale . Not the same, of course, but it goes in the same direction.
M. Asam No. 1very nice tea fragrance with no outstanding, but good durability

MorganleFay
Covet if still in production. Definitely an oddball.
G I R L by Pharrell Williams dunno how it's priced on the secondary market
Try Korres! It´s super affordable (I got bottle of Avgoustos 25 euros), cool design, smart scents. Akro is really great qulity, 30 ml for c 70-80 eur (I lovew my Ink and Bake). Reminiscence is a timeless choice - super long lasting, bottle for ca 40 eur. I love it´s Patchouli for layering.
Thank you all!
You also could explore some Lush scents maybe. Many aren't too expensive and something like Karma Perfume is absolutely unusual. It comes in very different bottles than pictured here on Parfumo now and it is also being sold as a solid (less expensive I think for a try). And visiting a Lush shop is quite a treat anyhow
.
As a former Lush employee I must agree with @Ringtale! Lush perfumes used to be very inexpensive back in the 2010s when I was working for them, however unfortunately now some of their prices have gone up a lot. But you can still find amazing gems from them and the quality and uniqueness gor the price is just insane! For me Lush has always smelled like niche perfumes should smell like and Lush has kind of ruined niche fragrances for me because I'm always expecting something really unique but usually getting just disappointed when testing niches. 😂 So yeah, a strong recommendation from me too to go and check Lush. Check also their super strong body sprays that are projecting better than most EDPs nowadays, Lush body spray bottles are huge (150 - 200 ml) but relatively cheap. Pro tip: the general smell of Lush stores is really strong so it might get you a bit nose blind, so spray on skin and go out from the shop to properly smell the fragrance.

Oh yes, and the envrionment is lovely: Kind people working there (as proven above 😄), not stressing you out to buy something, but very helpful and the smell of the shop is so,so good! I always long for a scent that smells just like entering a lush- shop 😊.
I think going out from the shop to poperly smell a fragrance goes for mainstream and niche perfumeries as well by the way, you can't test a fragrance properly when all kinds of scents linger. I even have trouble with that when I tested too many perfumes at home in a short while.

I don't really have a physical lush store here, just our regions store but they sometimes restock, saw this body spray on there called Guardian of the Forest and it seemed good but the reviews said it lasts 20 minutes. Nevertheless I will probably order something sometime, any recommendations tho?

Aaaawww how nice of you darling 🤗🥰 And yes, I absolutely love the smell inside the store too. For a long time I was unfortunately nose blind to the Lush shop general smell because my nose got so used to it working there almost every day for years, however to my huge pleasure I noticed last year that I am able to smell it again as I visited a Scottish Lush store in Aberdeen 🤩🙏
It's true that would be best testing all perfumes at home on clean skin with no distactions. Too many times I have noticed myself that I have judged some perfume the wrong way just smelling it once inside a shop full of other perfumes. I also tend to test only a couple of perfumes at a time to avoid nose blindness. 👍

Oh wow, I own Guardian Of The Forest and it lasts 10+ hours on my skin. I have actually never in my whole life encountered a single fragrance that would last only 20 min. Must be that the reviewers either live in a super hot and humid climate or have a very dry perfume eating skin or they simply have gone nose blind because Lush perfumes are super strong and cause nose blindness very easily especially when oversprayed (more than 3 sprays).
You were asking unique fragrances and I'd say all Lush fragrances tick that box. But do you have any preference of the genre? Woody, floral, sweet, tropical, citrus, fresh..?

Oh then Ill for sure try to buy that body spray. I would prefer some woody, fresh, green and ''mysterious'' smells of theirs.
@grotesqueque Great to hear that, if you love natural woody forest-like smells, I'm sure you'll enjoy Guardian Of The Forest, that one is actually one of my top favourites from Lush. From the body spray collection I could also recommend:
Tramp Body Spray (woody & mysterious)
Jungle Body Spray (woody & green)
Twilight Body Spray (mysterious)
Princess Cottongrass Body Spray (green)
Dirty Body Spray (fresh)
Dear @Lempi, do you happen to know a scent that smells just like the lush store when entering one ?
(sorry @grotesqueque for braking in a little with this question )
@Ringtale Yes! 29 High Street Perfume was designed to smell like the famous Lush shop on 29 High Street. It's gorgeous! 🤩

@Lempi, thanks! Oh sounds so good! But I can't find it on their website anymore, only a candle....

Did some research and it was a limited re-release last July, there are some on Ebay but kind of at scalper prices (idk the og price) so you could grab it from there or elsewhere!
Thanks for the info, @grotesqueque !
Copper ! Not really expensive and very unique. Great unisex scent

On my wishlist but I have to try It on my skin, I love how It smells like clay and ceramic in the dry-down and that metallic zing at the start!

So sorry for my late reply, I totally forgot the existence of this discussion for some reason. Yes, 29 High Street Perfume is one of the Lush limited releases but it keeps coming back over and over again like several other Lush fragrances too. So there's a good chance that they're making a new batch at some point again so that you will have a chance to test it. Lush tends to do this that certain releases are available just for a short time once a year or once in a couple of years but if you'll miss your chance you will get a new one at some point.
Ectoplasm Perfume is the only one that I have waited for 7 years now and it never came back so hopefully finally this year 😅🙏
Oh that's okay dear @Lempi, thanks for your reply♥️
I will watch out for it 😉

I got the Tea Rose perfume for my friend's birthday cause she said she loves rose notes in fragrances. She opened my gift right away and tried it on and let me smell it, it was SO good and such a 1:1 rose smell, like rose water, the rose itself - the stem and its thorns. She LOVED it. Thank you dearly for this recommendation, it should be more popular.
