What Does Cyberpunk Smell Like?

I'm looking for a fragrance that smells like the future, like Cyberpunk 2077.

Does anyone associate a particular fragrance with that? Synthetic, Robotic but also skin maybe powdery... a little sweaty

Perhaps The Ghost in the Shell by Etat Libre d'Orange or Comme des Garçons 2?

I am open to anything

So you want to smell like bugs and feel like glitching at the tiniest imperfection, the full Cyberpunk 2077 experience? I wouldn't recommend that to anyone, unless properly supported with a lot of patches.

You could also settle for Metallique (bit feminine though), Ganymede Eau de Parfum, Industrial Sabotage or indeed The Ghost in the Shell . I think the latter two come closest to what you seek.

I would've recommended Punk #2077 but I think it is discontinued. And was already hard to get to begin with.

I would recommend The Ghost in the Shell too. I love anime and the cyberpunk vibes and loved this fragrance. The mix of realism and synthetic, the "fake skin" vibes and that cyborg metallic cleanliness.

Definitely check out Fantomas Extrait de Parfum - closest I can get to describing it is plasticky melon, but it also has a big musk/"skin" accord.

If you're looking for powdery/skin, Apollonia has that sci-fi theming, absolutely gorgeous bottle, and an orris/musk combo that is really well done.

Abduction - You Will Forget What Has Happened Until The Appointed Time literally smells like the inside of a spaceship - metallic, cold, sterile - if you want to go the full sci-fi route.

This one's a bit out of left field, but try New Look. The frankincense/aldehyde accord is unlike anything I have ever smelled, and it definitely smells futuristic/robotic.

I have a bottle of The Ghost in the Shell for this reason. I almost sold it because I wasn’t wearing it but I realized that there are days when my mood is “no mood” and I just want to cyborg my way through the day. Ghost in the Shell does not disappoint. The marketing copy is delightful or annoying (depending on your preference) and can influence how the fragrance feels for the wearer. To the uninformed, it’s a pleasant plasticy-body wash with hints of citrus, milk, and metal—cyborg/skin-like and compulsively sniffable like a 80s vinyl toy.

I find it remarkably absent of any obvious emotion on the surface which allows me to feel safely hidden from the world.

Another worth sniffing is Neandertal Them. It’s an altogether different sense of futurity. It’s hard to describe as the notes don’t quite convey the feeling of it. It’s distant and futuristic, sparsely populated and a little haunted. A leathery skin scent with florals so soft that they don’t feel particularly floral, more like the ghost of something moving past.
