Scent of the Night 1

What perfume are you planning on pulling off today's night? does anything come to mind? Same scent as SOTD? no?

In my case I have in mind to reminisce the good times with partner and Bvlgari Man In Black Parfum

What do you think?

I'm in the mood for Brera, rose with saffron.

Tonight I feel like pulling some deep fragrance I don't usually get to enjoy.

Lumière Garçon will be the one (clone of The One Luminous Night )

Mine is just my SOTD: L'Air du Temps Eau de Parfum which is also lovely for the evening and for going to bed.

Interesting, how does that fragrance make you feel? Is it the same fragrance as your SOTD?

Nice, I feel specially connected to Nina Ricci, as most of my female relatives own a fragrance of the franchise. How does that fragrance make you feel?

It makes me feel conflicted. I hate saffron, but can't deny the quality of this particular blend. Which is why I choose to wear it on a weeknight. On a Friday or Saturday night, though, I wouldn't reach for it.

Last night, was a night for another challenging rose I've been playing with for over a year, III-III Love Kills.

Tonight I'm going to wear Versace pour Homme Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette

Nothing special, just another late night gym session.

Will use 2 sprays max of course.

I think I get what you mean. It's a daring composition to present socially, but at the same time, it being daring causes some kind of spark in our brains that we cannot help it but feel addicted to.

It happens to me with Detour Noir Intense which is a clone of Pegasus Exclusif

Very close (even though the original has noticeable higher quality chemicals).

The blend of the almond, giving it both sweet and metallic aspects, with the oudy touch makes me feel a bit uncomfortable about the composition, like it strives from perfection, and maybe that's what keeps me compelled to the smell.

I love a daring composition, that wasn't the issue. My problem is that I don't like some notes, but while disliking the particular notes I cannot deny the mastery of the blend.

SOTN Aramis Eau de Toilette mourning it's discontinuation. ☹️

Oud Kinam

Nice but there are four or five of Bortnikoff's other ouds that I like better.

1

The Tragedy of Lord George because that rum note with soap intrigued me and I was enjoying my favorite cigar lounge.

Probably Maahir Legacy as it just arrived and I am very hyped! (It will be also my SOTD)

But maybe also Détour Noir

1

Quelques Fleurs Royale Eau de Parfum Extrême because I suspect it might just be my favorite among all those new reinvented vintage fragrances from Houbigant.

Waiting for my 3rd bottle of Le Mâle Elixir , if it arrives today it will definitely be it!!

I forgot to post yesterday night, so I will post now for yesterday and probably tonight.

My SOTN was Détour Noir , a pretty accurate and close clone of Layton . Imo it lacks a little bit of the depth and clarity in terms of note separation / individualisation, which is mainly what intrigued me at first about Layton , but at the same time it fills that gap somehow, even with more blurry representation of the DNA personality.

I absolutely love how I feel wearing this fragrance. It's sweet, woody and in my opinion not hard to interpret, which is a trait I am truly appreciating lately in fragrance, and in general in my life.

Even if it is not something outworldly complex or unique, it has some dark / smokey / blackwoody aspect and base to it that I just can't help but feel hypnotised with (maybe I am exaggerating, or being too spontaneous about it). I think I kind of understand what they wanted to do (and achieved) with Layton Exclusif : to enhance this darker and smokier / dirtier aspect of this fragrance, giving it more edge and recklessness.

Anyways, I decided to make this fragrance my signature scent, at least the scent I will always reach to when I have some sort of meeting, outing, etc.

Hopefully in the near future I can finally afford to spend the money on Layton continuously; or maybe I will also get ''bored'' of the scent, which I truly wished didn't happen this time (I say every time).

It will be difficult for me to not make Détour Noir my SOTN today, but I am as intrigued with Lumière Garçon , clone of The One Luminous Night .

In the beginning this scent blasted my face with incense fiercely, but it just needed to sit for a month and a half to reveal its true and beautiful fruity, amber, gentle, warm, deep and powerful nature, so I think I will definitely give it a try, especially a try on how I feel while wearing this fragrance, regardless if I absolutely love and feel compelled by this scent.

What will your SOTN be?

Today I am wearing Art of Arabia I as SOTD, but also thinking about switching it for tonight and wearing Hawas for Him just for the sake of giving it another chance. It surely has matured a little bit more, and feels sweeter and with a bit more body / more robust.

Let's see, because finally here in Berlin 27C! Sun apreciation with Hawas for Him

Good morning ! SOTD Vintage Eau Lente by Diptyque

0

SOTN Riflesso , night gym session. I will use only 1-2 sprays (even if there won't be many people, just in case)

In the end it was Art of Arabia I , because it was my SOTD and my sweater already was smelling to it
