Oud and vanilla smoked and chocolate
Oud Mood is a smoked vanilla with floral and caramel shades, elegant, precious and of an impressive quality. Here you do not smell anything synthetic, that sure there will be, but I mean, there is no synthetic note screaming, NO, the aroma feels natural, sweet, resinous, caramel, earthy, woody, creamy and floral, a stunning natural beauty.

This perfume is signed by any famous Niche house, say Tom Ford, Serge Lutens, etc, etc ... and there would be a surprising Hype around him, but as an Arab house signs it, it is not heard.

The output is amazing, a prelude to what is about to happen, feeling a sweet and spicy rose, very saffroned, but not as in the typical Rosa-Oud combo, if not more kind and sweet, like chocolate. This output is very similar to "Oud Bouquet" by Lancome, but a bit more vanilla. Passed this exit, the rose and the saffron go disappearing progressively, and leave place to a caramelized vanilla with a bottom of patchouli and oud chocolaty, incredible, almost edible, but without reaching excesses, at no time the sweetness is excessive or annoying, it does not cause cavities, it is very well controlled by woody notes, patchouli-oud, which, in this case, the oud does not feel medicinal or dirty, is rather a deep wood, spicy, somewhat earthy, and with many nuances resinous, which, in conjunction with the caramel and vanilla, give the feeling of a chocolaty wood with a smoky touch that I love. Thus, most of the development of the perfume remains, except that, in the final drying, the amber becomes more noticeable and adds new nuances to that chocolate and smoky vanilla, nuances that rekindle the aroma, and despite its almost linearity, They make it very dynamic and alive. I loved this vanilla-oud creamy, it leaves me speechless to describe it correctly, so I'll just say: Sublime.

The aroma is unisex, and the truth, that very well done. In spite of his notes, at no time does he feel neither excessively masculine and markedly feminine, it is a very balanced perfume in that aspect. Even the cylinder box that surrounds it is of a very good quality, original and precious, without neglecting the bottle, which is made of a heavy glass, ornamented with some striking ties, and topped by a metal cap, very much in keeping with the high quality that is anticipated at first sight. A very careful and elaborate presentation.

The performance is extraordinary, staying in skin for more than 12 hours, with a very diffusive and notorious wake, if you are looking for something that marks presence, without doubt here you have a perfect candidate and at a price of demolition.

Perfume of cold and temperate climates and above all for your nocturnal use, although on a cold winter morning, this perfume will make you warm with its warmth. I do not see it appropriate for use in extreme heat season, but I must say that, on a cool summer night ... ufff this has to be a wonder.

I recommend it 100%.

Forgive me for my english.

Simply The Best
I was looking for the "Oud Mood | Lattafa / لطافة" perfume online since I do not find these Arabic fragrances in Italian shops. The resemblance they attribute to "Sheikh Shuyukh Luxe Edition | Lattafa / لطافة" intrigued me mainly. Four variations appeared when I typed Oud Mood into the search field, all available at a ridiculous price for a 100ml EDP. All of this tempted me. I couldn't resist, and I blindly bought them all. Like all the pieces of the Oud Mood collection, the packaging and the bottle are lush and well-finished in every detail. For Oud Mood original, the box is a cream-colored cylindrical tube similar to fine whiskeys, with a golden ribbon that anchors the cap. And a black braided ribbon bandages the thick glass bottle. Not to mention the heavy metal gold cap. Incredible how a perfume paid for around €15 can provide such expensive packaging. But what surprised me the most was the perfume enclosed in the bottle, which I will try to describe. According to the olfactory notes, the fragrance should be warm, floral, and spicy, with pleasant gourmand, woody, and amber influences.

Oud Mood's aroma is slightly sweet, and its opening is sweet-spicy with a floral undertone. The marriage of rose and saffron is in the classic oriental style, with the mothball nuance, the same one I find in Empress Bouquet , "Trade Routes Collection - Halfeti | Penhaligon's", Icon Absolute, "Mukhallat Oudh Al Mubakhar | Rasasi", and "Sheikh Shuyukh Luxe Edition | Lattafa / لطافة". OK, there is a similarity between Oud Mood and the latter, although I don't know if they are the same perfume. The rose is initially quite prominent, with a rosy, spicy aroma with a slight oud undertone, detectable but not obnoxious, unpleasant, disagreeable, or animalistic. Only sweet and rosy oud.

Caramel and resins follow in the heart note. The caramel is not too sugary; instead, it is slightly burnt with a resinous undertone. Sometimes caramel is nothing but an overdose of syrupy, sugary, almost sticky note, but here it's actually burnt creamy nuance, just amazingly well-done. There is a salty note to it, along with a dark and dirty patchouli undertone, which makes this one a bit earthy and woody. For me, Oud Mood and Sheikh Shuyukh Luxe Edition, at this point, are two distinct fragrances. Here I get a kind of resinous myrrh that is not present in the other, too smoky. Oud Mood is now warm, floral, and sweet in a welcoming but not cloying way.

The scent profile continues to improve as it dries out as vanilla, salty amber, smoky incense, and animal musk replace the gourmand's heart. I get light smoky notes from what I assume is olibanum, along with a nice creaminess, the same tenderness of sandalwood. Vanilla is not powdery; on the contrary, it feels woodier, incense, and musky. The more it dries, the more the smoke grows and stands out, especially up close, without ever becoming too strong or dominant, just the hint of non-bitter smokiness. And so does amber, or ambroxan, with its saltiness. I like this aroma that stays on the skin until the end.

If you're finding your way into the oud environment, this is a great place to start after Oud Mood Reminiscence. Compared to the European fragrances we are used to, this one has a quality comparable to expensive niche perfumes. Although the majority voted for a nocturnal scent, I can safely wear it daily, as it is not overpowering or offensive. On my skin, the performance is unfortunately not very impressive. The average longevity lasts longer on clothes, but the projection stays close to the skin after an hour. I don't get beast mode or huge so much that people talk about it. A winter fragrance for cold and sharp days. It could also be worn in autumn, but I advise against it when the temperature rises. An opulent but not too loud scent.

I'm basing my experience and review on a bottle I've owned since January 2023 (PD 11.2022).

Oud Mood Review by an Oud Newbie
I am new to Arab perfumes and also oud! Oud Mood isn't a safe blind buy for newbies, definitely sample first!
At first spray I get a touch of sweetness- rose, vanilla, and spiciness. Next, the incense arrives... quite strong. As the fragrance develops, it becomes more masculine...very woody and smoky... like an Arab version of Margiela's By the Fireplace. However, there are hints of vanilla throughout. Overall, I believe this fragrance still leans feminine. It is definitely a winter scent- much too smoky for the summertime.

Ultimately, I do not like it because of the strong incense and smoke, but it is interesting to test!
I have a sample from the Etsy shop: LovelyPerfumes (HiddenSamples.com)

Very like Oud Bouquet in fact
A jammy, synthy rose-oud that would be unbearable to me were it not for the odd little shifts in its trajectory that keep me entertained. It starts out as a jammy rose with the regular Lattafa oud – a vile, rubbery synth that smells like tries covered in caramel and signed with a blowtorch – before suddenly shifting into a wet, sheepy labdanum that feels shockingly moldy. But before I can begin to pigeonhole this, it morphs again, this time into what I can only describe as a dollop of strawberry-flavored marshmallow fluff. This odd accent, making its oddly late entry, develops into the most delicious scent of doll head I have ever smelled. It is the kind of scent I follow strange women into crowds for, trying to find out what it is. I don’t know why I love this incredibly sweet, dopey smell so much, the only explanation that makes sense to this Mitsouko-wearing, middle-aged woman being that it triggers a Proustian flashback to me playing with My Little Pony when I was a kid. This accord acts like a sugar high, complete with post-ingestion self-loathing and shame.

The last twist is that somewhere in the drydown it flips 180 degrees from a syrupy, dollhead-esque rose-oud into a gritty, benzoin-based amber that smells like speckles of brown sugar on a pie crust. It takes me a few wears until I realize that they have shoehorned the dregs of Raghba into the bones of this scent, making everything else stand atop its sturdy legs. Listen, I don’t think Oud Mood is a particularly well-designed perfume. Neither is it objectively ‘good’ under any lens you might examine it under. It is loud and scratchy and obnoxious as heck for a solid 70% of its development trajectory. But I’m keeping it around on the off chance that some day, I myself am feeling loud and scratchy and obnoxious and need a fragrance that can stand shoulder to shoulder with me.

Spicy and fruity perfection in an amazing bottle
Well, this is different!
First, let me say, that it definitely has some similarities with Safeer al Oud. But only in a beginning. Safeer is sweeter, more smoky and less fruity. Thus, in my opinion, more smoky.
This Oud Mood comes more to the space around you, its not so plain like Safeer, because there are notes which are doin´ some mystic battle between each other - notes I am going to speak about a few lines below. Battle that goes around you.
First, you smell fruity and spicy aura. Then, there come raspberries more perceptible, also along with earthy notes (tobacco or patchouli, not sure). Definitely raspberries... and they lead this scent to such an amazing and beautiful melody. Also musky aura takes their part, but on the other side spicy, heavy and mysterious notes appear with this so contrastly. So at first - spice, a little bit fruity part of scent with musk.
Along with raspberries, more sweet oudy tones come together. That sweetness is just so beautiful, when its combined with these earthy and spicy notes.
Note: It is maybe weird, but I cannot decide, if there are some fresh raspberries, or some kind of grapefruit... Its actually interesting and also its interesting to think of it by this way. Try to focus - and you may feel at first some raspberries, but is it real? This fruity part comes actually together with a little bit bitternes, but only a little bit and its not destroying the whole feeling from this beauty. This fruity part is not actually over-sweetened.

In the end, raspberries with oud, musk, saffron (and so on) make really beautiful fragnance!
I have to say, that THIS is actually much better than Safeer al Oud, because its more elegant and kind of special, different scent, which will underline your inner power.
That fruity aroma connected with strong, spicy-particuraly sweety tones is just incredible. One of the best fragnance I have ever tried.
There are also definitely some woody, earthy (patchouli I guess) tones, mixing with fruity-sweet-whatever aroma.
Longevity: above-average, more than 12 hrs even after washing. 10/10
Ingredients: raspberries, saffron, musk, agarwood (oud), rose, sandalwood, geranium, amber. 10/10
Bottle: Massive, elegant bottle with black 'stripes' going through. 10/10

Almost identical with Rave Oud Nuit. Rave case is owned by Lattafa so, I'm not surprised.
