Rosa Saltifolia
For all intents and purposes, it delivers what it says on the label. It's rosy and salty.

My two caveats include 1) that the marketing speak suggests something far more intense about swirling sand dunes and fiery bougainvillea, but it's really nothing of the sort. Soft, airy, and gentle, it's all baby pink and blue, seagulls in the distance, striped poplin shirting, etc. Very GAP women's (which isn't a read at all, I think it's a beautiful scent).

And 2) it's really quite weak both in terms of sillage and longevity. I really doused myself in this to see how far I could push it, and it still fades like that *snap*. I'm glad to hear it lasts longer on other reviewers' skin types, but for me, it certainly isn't worth the price tag with the performance.

Great opening and middle stages
I like this a lot in the opening and middle stages, which remind me of Calvin Klein Escape with the florals and salty marine/aquatic notes, but I’m not as fond of the drydown, which pretty much becomes a less sharp version of Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. Still, this is a great summer fragrance and an interesting take that makes it different from a typical rose. Very wearable.

Of roses, salt and sea
In search of a clean fragrance, I found Crivelli. Papyrus and Absinthe eke out an existence in my bottling collection for half a year and have not really warmed up to me yet. Actually, I had already written off Crivelli for me, until I held Rose Saltifolia in my hands.

This fragrance triggers wanderlust in me. I'm drawn to Ireland's Atlantic coast, to the tranquil seaside town of Galway. It is a windy, but promising spring morning and Galway the last stage of our Ireland round trip. It will be the last holiday for some time, which is why it has become the room with balcony and sea view. I wake up early and open the huge window. The cool, damp air greets me, the sound of the sea breaks the nightly silence. The sun is just rising, illuminating the lush cumulus clouds that gently push across the sky like mountains. I watch the spectacle for a while longer, then I get chilly and retreat back to my warm hotel bed, my eyes fixed on the horizon and with the feeling of infinity in my heart.

Rose Saltifolia sends an intense rose scent into the race to start. The blood orange gives the rose with tart citrus note an exciting depth which is further supported by the pepper. Just before the wallflower, we turned in time to pick up some juicy seaweed on the way and wrap the cool composition in a soft cashmeran robe. Rose Saltifolia coolly caresses and leaves a tickle on the nose. The silage isn't very pronounced, though that doesn't bother me as much. The scent is almost linear on me, with the citrus diminishing a bit over time. The rose remains in the foreground, but never becomes a soloist.

Rose Saltifolia is for me an everyday nose flatterer and makes me want to deal with the other Crivellis yet again.

Secret whispers...
An empty, dark stairwell, cool marble, from a distance I hear voices and the clacking of high heels. A cat strokes my legs, meowing. A metallic scent of roses wafts around me. I enter the inner courtyard. The brick fountain swallows my call, it seems empty and infinitely deep. I take off my shoes and walk over dry grass to a high wall. I make myself very small, close my eyes, a cold moon passes behind my eyelids, harp sounds, a nocturnal parlor, my name, which I write again and again, which becomes a voice that calls to me. I open my eyes and I am alone. There is a heavy key in my hand, I go back into the house. There is a cluster of people outside the front door, they are looking towards me...

I could go on writing forever... this scent is a secret. It reminds me of something intangible. It is beautiful in a confusing way, icy cold and strangely familiar. I'll probably be listening to it for a while yet...

Security and wanderlust
I think this fragrance comes from a great idea. I love blood orange and am a fan of pepper and seaweed notes.

It also smells really wonderful and triggers two completely different feelings in me: on the one hand it gives me a feeling of security, and the next moment it triggers a kind of wanderlust in me - a wanderlust for something that you can never reach, no matter how far you move in that direction.

In this fragrance, the rose is strengthened by the light blood orange and pepper. A shallow green and salty seaweed note emerges in the background, giving the fragrance a great depth.
The rose is so subtle here that it is never overpowering.

The fragrance notes and the two aforementioned feelings then end in the image of me on the black sandy beach of Reynisfjara, looking into the distance at sunset, while the salty waters of the North Atlantic wash a few seaweeds up to the tips of my feet. I look along the horizon and see nothing far and wide and feel like I'll never get to where I want to go. However, the sun's rays on my face give me a feeling of security and safety.

Unfortunately, this feeling is short-lived, as the fragrance quickly fades.

Would be good as a rose shower gel in the hotel, fresh Rose, nothing else, it's pretty though. Subtle green aroma all the time behind Rose.

Opens light, fruity-watery rose like LLI's Dom Rosa. Turns green/cleanly with mild orange nuances. Elegant summer scent with 0 performance.

An abstract marine rose that brings to mind Magritte's art. For those afraid of loud, retro or geranium roses. Polite, dreamy, airy, lovely!
