Belle de Nuit Aaron Terence Hughes 2024

I received a tester of this with a recent purchase from Aaron's website. Love him or hate him, I have collected his fragrances since his humble beginnings and will continue to do so. I am a big fan of his work and I have watched him fine tune his art and creativity to become a very accomplished perfumer. I have over 50 of his perfumes and this is in the top ten.

I am not an accomplished reviewer on this site, I will leave that to those in the know. But there is a few things I would like to say about this lovely perfume.

As with most of ATH's perfumes, this uses very good quality ingredients and it is an Extrait de Parfum. It is incredibly good value for money. Projection and Sillage are immense. It's longevity is a 9-10 for me. Lasted until morning. Long gone is the roughness of ATH's perfumes, this is smooth and slightly creamy. It's a woody-floral to me. The rose is delicious and lasts forever.

Definitely unisex and one for an evening out full of adventure.

To my nose, this is a very feminine fragrance.

I see it mainly as an evening fragrance, the notes that stand out the most for me are rose absolute, peach, nectarine and sandalwood. After the final, I found it quite addictive.

It's good in the creation, it performs very well but you really have to help this floral, sweet side and I can't imagine for people who dare to pair it with the cosmetics that came out at the same time as the perfume.

The fragrance starts off very elegantly rosy, like a beautiful elegant lady in a red silk dress. In the ballroom, she steals the show from everyone. The later the night goes, the more cheerful and playful the atmosphere in the hall becomes, and the elegant lady takes off her high heels and starts playfully/fruity dancing on the tables. More and more cheerful and colorfully dressed guests join her on the table and keep her company. Wild dancing ensues, and all the guests on the tables are now the center of attention, until around dawn when the energy slowly begins to wane and only a handful of people remain. The mood has become calm/harmonious, and the last sweet fruit tarts are being enjoyed. The sun rises, and the lady in the red dress is the last to leave the hall. It was an unforgettable night that will linger in everyone's memory.
An elegant yet playful powerhouse that lasts longer than anything else (10h+). It comes on strong with fruitiness, without being too sweet or cloying. The sillage fills the room yet remains light in the air. Very unique and well-balanced. Aside from the rose in the opening, no one takes center stage.
Without a doubt, a clear 10/10 fragrance that has very feminine traits.

At the beginning, the fragrance starts very intensely with a beautiful rose, combined with a mix of raspberry and peach. This makes it seem feminine at first.

After a few hours, the fragrance unfolds, and the base of sandalwood along with the other components makes this scent truly beautiful. From this moment on, the fragrance becomes unisex for me. The longevity and sillage are really perfect - the scent is very present and leaves a trail - without being too aggressive to others.

A truly well-rounded fragrance that I will definitely repurchase.

It starts off rosy for me, after 2-3 hours I smell the peach and raspberry, at first more of a scent for women but after 2 hours definitely unisex. The fragrance is very pleasant. Longevity and sillage are clearly above average, without being intrusive. Overall, a scent that is well received and one that can be worn happily in everyday life.
