Not what I was expecting....
I was really very surprised at how gourmand this one is. The most prominent notes in this one are vanilla and almond, with a hint of spice in the background, probably coming from the nutmeg. A simple (and maybe a slightly lazy) comparison to make would be to PdM's Pegasus. No, they don't smell exactly alike. But to give you a very rough idea, imagine Pegasus without the metallic heliotrope note, increase the vanilla and increase the sweetness then you might have clearer picture of how Santal Extreme smells. It's not too dissimilar to the very far dry down of Pegasus but with added vanillic sweetness. 'Sugared almond' is the perfect descriptor.

I like this one, it's pleasant. It very sweet and powdery and it does project quite a lot (as with most ATH fragrances). It's completely unisex. If sweet almond based fragrances are something you like, definitely check out Santal Extreme.

really interesting because of the impressive almond note that seems natural, but the freshness that forces itself on me annoys.

XJ-Richwood is a bit sweeter and less woody, has a light doctor's office vibe. Unfortunately, I don't like it.

Starts very similarly to Carlisle. In the drydown, it becomes noticeably drier and less sweet. By the end, it's almost just patchouli. H/S still okay.
