Pure Musk by Afnan

Just like its name, it's full of musk, musk, and musk!
This fragrance smells like a hint of florals drowned in lots of musk.
Simple, clean, soft & smooth. This may remind you of all sorts of things like baby powder, talcum powder, lotion, etc. (not in a negative way).
It has a strong projection and is very long-lasting.
A must for musk lovers!

Clean, fresh with the slightest floral smell, powdery musk.

Really for those who love clean, fresh smells and they are looking for a perfume of this kind, they need to get it.

As the name suggests it is based on musk and smells like fresh clean linen. As time passes leaves an incredible powdery musky smell on the skin, that lasts. In general, the longevity of this fragrance is great, especially in clothes. It's in my top 3 clean, musk perfumes for every day.

I shall go and join the choir

Musk is always a tricky note for me. There is no doubt, that it is a gamechanger because it can either spoil a fragrance for me or make me go crazy over it. There is never an in-between with musk. Luckily, Afnan Pure Musk belongs to the latter group.
This amazing musk fragrance took me totally by surprise. First and foremost because I did not know the brand and I must admit I did not expect a lot from it - for reasons unknown. Here I stand corrected. I have met quite a few musk fragrances and this is the best so far. Compared to good musks as Alyssa Ashley Musk, The Body Shop White Musk and Tesori d’Oriente Muschio Bianco which are some of the good musk scents I have (had) Pure Musk still stands out. Its longevity is beyond the reasonable, its sillage is greater than great and the smell itself is intoxicating. I do not get any whiff of the mentioned floral notes - which I think is really great. I like the purity of this. It lets the musk be the queen of the fragrance.
The bottle has a luxurious look to it and it comes in a beautiful box. I have checked out the design of several of their bottles and they vary quite a lot. This is a fairly neutral and classic one, with straight lines and neutral colouring.
Afnan is a fairly new brand in my country. Or at least to me. The amazing thing about this is that I now have a new area to explore. I am really curious to learn more about the many fragrances from this brand. Their fragrances are inexpensive and I can therefore risk blind buys and not fear to be ruined.
I cannot recommend this fragrance enough. I shall join the choir of praising voices.

Baby powder

I love this one so much. Ever since buying this, it has always been an easy reach. I've been in a long term relationship with powdery perfumes and this is one of my top picks.

It's like dipping your face in a bowl full of baby powder. It also stays so long. I wore it to a wedding and it was hot that day. I was sweating and I was still getting whiffs of it.

another Musk Tahara fragrance

I ordered the fragrance because I simply wanted to know if it is different from "Pure Musk | Lattafa / لطافة" and "Musk Mood | Lattafa / لطافة". The answer: not really haha. That's not a problem for me, as I love this scent profile, but anyone who has one of these three perfumes doesn't need the others.

The differences between the three fragrances are so subtle that I can hardly describe them, really not worth mentioning. The Pure Musk is a wiiiinzy bit stronger I think. The "Pure Musk | Lattafa / لطافة" might be miiiinimally more floral and the "Musk Mood | Lattafa / لطافة" miiiinimally creamier. But basically, they all smell the same.

For anyone who has never smelled any of the three perfumes, I recommend checking out a bottle of Musk Tahara at an Arabic store in their city. Most brands have the same scent for this product, and it is this one. Intensely clean, but in a different way than our clean fragrances. Ours are often very citrusy, while this musk leans more towards the floral direction.

Longevity is phenomenal, as with all Musk Tahara fragrances. In my opinion, they are all unisex; I don't really understand why so many people categorize such clean scents as purely feminine (I assume for those people, a clean man can only smell like blue shower gel lmao). But it's funny that with the three mentioned perfumes, the gender classification is so different haha. It seems you all go more by the packaging than by the scent.
