Sweet, gourmand and fruity pistachio fragrance
A new arrival for me: Kiaana Angel from the Afnan company. One of two women's fragrances from the Kiaana range, the other is called Kiaana Crush. I didn't find the Crush so exciting from the packaging, so I only ordered this pistachio fragrance Kiaana Angel. Afnan is also a great brand from Dubai that embraces current trends and implements them really well. This brand has absolutely nothing to hide when it comes to Dubai brands in the lower price segment.
It was only a matter of time before the pistachio note found its way into fragrances thanks to Dubai chocolate. Lattafa has also launched a fragrance with this note with Affection, which also goes in a similar direction to this Afnan. However, I find this Kiaana Angel a little more rounded and delicious.
The price of both Kiaana's is around 30€ per 100ml. It will certainly be even cheaper, as these are brand new on the German market it is still a bit more expensive. But this 30€ is more than fair, especially compared to many designer perfumes.
The packaging is typically Dubai and has style. The bottle is also quite attractive and beautifully decorated. The shape of the bottle takes some getting used to. It is an EdT, which also smells very intense.
The Kiaana fragrances are both official women's fragrances, but you can also wear this pistachio fragrance, especially if you like these gourmand touches. According to the community here, it's a twin of Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 Eau de Parfum which I haven't tested yet. But this pistachio ice cream note speaks for itself. This fragrance is perfectly balanced in my eyes: you get a great mix of fruit, pistachio, creamy-sweet notes, gourmand hints which, however, never becomes too heavy or intrusive. Although the fragrance is not really fresh, you still get a few notes that keep the whole thing a little more relaxed. The opening is of course immediately captivating with lots of pistachio ice cream, which is complemented by fresh bergamot. A great blend of creamy-sweet pistachio and a great citrusy note. This is followed by other fruits such as pear, peach and raspberry. These notes are not so present individually, but as a whole they create a great fruity punch that goes well with this pistachio. Creamy-sweet tonka bean is also extremely present throughout and gives the whole thing this great creamy sweetness which is really good on cooler days. A lot of soft wood also comes through in the base and goes well with this gourmand-fruity sweetness. All in all, very round and simply a cozy cuddly fragrance. Of course, it is more suitable for women, but is limited if you like these great notes.
Performance is absolutely fine. The sillage is very nice in the first few hours, but never too much. This makes it easy to wear in everyday life. The longevity of 7-8 hours is also not bad at all. However, the base is a little closer to the skin.
Overall, this pistachio hype has been captured well and the result is a very delicious fragrance. With 13 reviews already quite under the radar, but maybe it will change. Recommendation goes out.
