suitable for sensitive souls, as I am one
That I can't relate much to "storms and roaring winds" I already mentioned in another comment.
The medical "Atlantic" ban was not issued without reason; strong winds are really not for me.
Which is why I will never get to know the beauty of Cornwall.
Not only the novels and their TV adaptations by Rosamunde Pilcher depict a wonderful region that I would surely enjoy with its vegetation. But what is not, is simply not.
I have to settle for "enjoyment from second hand" here.
Atkinsons has also created a truly vivid picture of this landscape with "The Contemporary Collection - Scilly Neroli."
The Scilly Islands belong to Cornwall, and therefore I can also travel there effortlessly through a scent sample.
Immediately after the first spray, this Atlantic freshness reveals itself: I see the lead-gray sea with the white dancing wave crests right in front of me.
The illusion is so perfect that I am tempted to wipe the fine mist of the spraying spray from my glasses so that I can see and experience the beaches and the nature shaken by the eternal wind more clearly.
For not only does the freshness of the Atlantic show up quickly; the fresh citrus scent of lemons and petitgrain announces itself immediately and envelops me in a distinct Mediterranean flair.
Here, the proximity to the Gulf Stream is evident: the southern vegetation has spread and thus impressively dominates the climate.
So, the warmth of neroli and the wonderful orange blossoms are completely natural here.
Everything fits together beautifully and paints the scent picture of a summer day on the coast of Cornwall. Just as I always imagine it.
The light and scent of the Atlantic become more golden and also softer through generous doses of amber and my "darling" patchouli!
They take a bit of the sharpness off the almost stormy freshness of the sea breeze and make this scent composition harmonious and rounded.
Thus, "Scilly Neroli" also gives me a vivid impression of a landscape that I will never be able to visit.
That makes this scent very likable to me.
Longevity and sillage correspond to a typical English eau de toilette: fresh and very lively, it envelops me with the fruity-vibrant coolness of the Atlantic.
Atkinsons has succeeded with "The Contemporary Collection - Scilly Neroli" in painting a so-called "seascape" with fragrance notes.
It is worth dedicating oneself to this if you are not such a cold-sensitive person like me.
